Destroy Rebuild is the second studio album by American post-hardcore project Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows, and the first released as a solo project. The album was released on June 17, 2022, through Velocity and Equal Vision Records.

Background

On April 26, 2012, it was announced that vocalist Craig Owens had rejoined Chiodos, with the other members of Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows departing the band at the same, with the band effectively breaking up. [5]

In February 2020, an Instagram account was made for the band, hinting at a possible reunion. The reunion was confirmed the following month with the release of the single "King I Am", with Owens being the only returning member. [6] The band was signed to Velocity Records in February 2021. [7] On September 8, 2021, Owens announced that Jona Weinhofen had joined as a touring guitarist. [8] Former All That Remains bassist and backing vocalist Aaron Patrick was announced as another touring member on December 15. [9]

On February 2, 2022, the band released a new single, "Destiny", and announced a new album would be released later in the year. [10] On March 10, the band released the single "Satellites in Motion" and revealed the album would be titled Destroy Rebuild to be released that June. [11] The album's third single, "Brighter Side", was released on April 20. [12] Another touring member, drummer Aaron Stechauner, was revealed two days later on April 22. [13] "Outcasts vs. Everyone", featuring Brennan Savage, was released as the album's fourth single on May 11. [14] The album's fifth and final single, "Gold", was released on June 15. [15]

Chiodos is an American post-hardcore band from Davison, Michigan. Formed in 2001, the group was originally known as "The Chiodos Bros," the band's name was a tribute to filmmakers Stephen, Charles, and Edward Chiodo, responsible for the film Killer Klowns from Outer Space. Chiodos released their first full-length album, titled All's Well That Ends Well, on July 26, 2005. Their second album, Bone Palace Ballet, was released in North America on September 4, 2007 and debuted at number 5 on the Billboard 200 and number 1 on the Independent Albums. Warner Bros. Records released Bone Palace Ballet on January 26, 2009, as part of a new distribution deal in the UK. They released their third studio album, Illuminaudio in 2010, and it was the only studio album to feature Brandon Bolmer as lead vocalist and Tanner Wayne as drummer. The band released their fourth and final album, Devil on April 1, 2014, which marked the return of original vocalist Craig Owens and drummer Derrick Frost.

Matthew Aaron Good is an American musician, singer and record producer. He is best known for being the lead guitarist, lead vocalist and the only constant member of the post-hardcore band From First to Last from its conception in 1999 until now. He was formerly the guitarist of grindcore band The Color of Violence, which featured future From First to Last members Travis Richter, Derek Bloom, and Joey Antillon. He has recorded as a solo artist, is an established music producer, has written and recorded with the likes of Dr. Dre, and has also acted in the 2012 film K-11.

Underminded is an American hardcore punk band from San Diego, California. The band has been on hiatus since 2007 as its members concentrate on other projects. Frontman Nick Martin was in Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows, and has been in Sleeping With Sirens since originally filling in for them in 2013. Drummer Tanner Wayne has been the drummer for In Flames since 2018.

Isles & Glaciers was an American post-hardcore supergroup formed in 2008. They recorded material for their debut EP, The Hearts of Lonely People December 3–13, 2008 in Seattle, Washington and again in April 2009. It was produced by Casey Bates, and was released on March 9, 2010. Even though vocalist Craig Owens stated that the group will not be collaborating or releasing new material again, Vic Fuentes stated that the band may release more material in the future.

Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows is an American post-hardcore band formed in 2010 in Pontiac, Michigan. They released their debut self-titled album on February 22, 2011. Craig Owens brought back the project in 2020 and released D.R.U.G.S.' second studio album Destroy Rebuild on June 17, 2022.
