Devi Singh Shekhawat (born 1966) [1] is an Indian politician from Rajasthan. He is a member of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly. He won the 2023 Rajasthan Legislative Assembly election representing the Bharatiya Janata Party from Bansur Assembly constituency. [2] [3]
Shekhawat is from Bansur,Alwar district,Rajasthan. He is the son of Roshan Singh Shekhawat. He completed his B.Sc. in maths at a college affiliated with Rajasthan University in 1989. [1]
Shekhawat won from Bansur Assembly constituency representing Bharatiya Janata Party in the 2023 Rajasthan Legislative Assembly election. He polled 61,605 votes and defeated his nearest rival,Rohitash Kumar of Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram),by a margin of 7,420 votes. [4] [5] [6]
Bhairon Singh Shekhawat was an Indian politician who served as the vice president of India. He served in that position from August 2002,when he was elected to a five-year term by the electoral college following the death of Krishan Kant,until he resigned on 21 July 2007,after losing the presidential election to Pratibha Patil. Bhairon Singh Shekhawat was a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He served as the Chief Minister of Rajasthan three times,from 1977 to 1980,1990 to 1992 and 1993 to 1998.
