Bansur is a town and tehsil in Kotputli-Behror district of Jaipur division in Indian state of Rajasthan. It is just 17 km from Kotputli city & 30 km from Behror city, the district headquarters. Before 2023 it was part of Alwar district but after district reorganisation in Rajasthan in 2023 it was made part of newly created district of Kotputli-Behror district. In the State Budget, of the fiscal year 2020-21, it has been upgraded to Municipality or Nagar-Palika status. It is located 46km west of the Alwar city and 117km south of the state capital Jaipur. A major part of the district comprising Tehsils of Behror, Neemrana, Bansur, Mandhan and is referred to as Rath Region though Mundawar tehsil of Rath region was made part of separate district of Khairthal.
