Devold Peak ( 72°15′S26°44′E / 72.250°S 26.733°E / -72.250; 26.733 Coordinates: 72°15′S26°44′E / 72.250°S 26.733°E / -72.250; 26.733 ) is a peak, 3,280 metres (10,760 ft) high, between Kjelbotn Peak and the Pukkelen Rocks near the head of Byrdbreen in the Sør Rondane Mountains. It was mapped by Norwegian cartographers in 1957 from air photos taken by U.S. Navy Operation Highjump, 1946–47, and named for Hallvard Devold  (no ), who with Hjalmar Riiser-Larsen and Olav Kjelbotn attempted the exploration of the Princess Ragnhild Coast by dog sledge in 1933. A geographic coordinate system is a coordinate system that enables every location on Earth to be specified by a set of numbers, letters or symbols. The coordinates are often chosen such that one of the numbers represents a vertical position and two or three of the numbers represent a horizontal position; alternatively, a geographic position may be expressed in a combined three-dimensional Cartesian vector. A common choice of coordinates is latitude, longitude and elevation. To specify a location on a plane requires a map projection.

Kjelbotn Peak is a peak, 3,210 metres (10,530 ft) high, standing between Isachsen Mountain and Devold Peak in the Sør Rondane Mountains of Antarctica. It was mapped by Norwegian cartographers in 1957 from air photos taken by U.S. Navy Operation Highjump, 1946–47, and named for Olav Kjelbotn, who with Hjalmar Riiser-Larsen and Hallvard Devold attempted sledge exploration of Princess Ragnhild Coast in 1933.

Pukkelen Rocks is a rock outcropping just west of Bollene Rocks at the head of Byrdbreen, in the Sor Rondane Mountains. Mapped by Norwegian cartographers in 1957 from air photos taken by U.S. Navy Operation Highjump, 1946–47, and named Pukkelen.

The 3280 metre elevation is undocumented and unlikely. According to the most recent topographic map from the Norwegian Polar Institute (1988), based on Belgian triangulations, the elevation of Devold Peak is just over 2400 m.a.s.l.

The Norwegian Polar Institute is Norway's central governmental institution for scientific research, mapping and environmental monitoring in the Arctic and the Antarctic. It is run under the auspices of the Norwegian Ministry of Climate and Environment. The institute conducts research in the polar regions, provides management relevant knowledge for the Norwegian authorities, and organizes expeditions to the Arctic and Antarctic regions. The institute runs year-round the Sverdrup research station in Ny-Ålesund on Svalbard and the Troll station in Antarctica. In addition the Norvegia station which is located on the Bouvet Island in the Southern Ocean and the Tor Field Station on Antarctica are used for shorter term work. Its offices are in Tromsø and Longyearbyen, Svalbard, in addition to the research stations in Queen Maud Land and Svalbard, and employs approximately 150 persons. It has the responsibility to enforce international treaties regarding Antarctic activities by Norwegian citizens or corporations.

The Ohio Range is a mountain range in the Transantarctic Mountains of Antarctica. It is about 48 km (30 mi) long and 16 km (10 mi) wide, extending WSW-ENE from Eldridge Peak to Mirsky Ledge. The range forms the northeast end of the Horlick Mountains and consists primarily of a large snow-topped plateau with steep northern cliffs and several flat-topped ridges and mountains. The highest point is the summit of Mount Schopf.

It was mapped by Norwegian cartographers from surveys and air photos by the Norwegian–British–Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–1952), led by John Schjelderup Giæver, and named Høgfonna.

Enigma Peak is a peak, 1,000 metres (3,300 ft) high, surmounting Fournier Ridge in the Desko Mountains, on Rothschild Island. It was probably seen from a distance by F. Bellingshausen in 1821, Jean-Baptiste Charcot in 1909, and the British Graham Land Expedition in 1936. It was observed and photographed from the air by the U.S. Antarctic Service, 1939–41, and was mapped as the prominent northwestern peak of the island. It was mapped in greater detail from air photos taken by the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition, 1947–48, by D. Searle of the Falklands Islands Dependencies Survey in 1960, and from U.S. Landsat imagery of February 1975. It was so named by the UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee because of difficulty in identifying the peak during the map compilation.

Austhamaren Peak is a peak, 2,060 metres (6,760 ft) high, standing close east of Byrdbreen in the Sør Rondane Mountains. It was mapped by Norwegian cartographers in 1946 from air photos taken by the Lars Christensen Expedition, 1936–37, and in 1957 from air photos taken by U.S. Navy Operation Highjump, 1946–47, and named "Austhamaren".

Charles Peak is a bare rock peak, 990 metres (3,250 ft) high, surmounting the southeast end of the Collier Hills in the Heritage Range. It was mapped by the United States Geological Survey from surveys and from U.S. Navy air photos, 1961–66, and named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for Charles E. Williams, meteorologist at Little America V Station in 1958.

Ovbratten Peak is a steep, pyramidal rock peak about 2 nautical miles (3.7 km) southwest of Hogfonna Mountain, in the Borg Massif of Queen Maud Land. Mapped by Norwegian cartographers from surveys and air photos by Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition (NBSAE) (1949–52) and named Ovbratten.

The Gburek Peaks are a group of rocky elevations including Straumsvola Mountain and Jutulrora Mountain, forming the western end of the Sverdrup Mountains in Queen Maud Land, Antarctica. They were discovered by the Third German Antarctic Expedition under Alfred Ritscher, 1938–39, and named for Leo Gburek, geophysicist on the expedition. The name Gburek is here restricted to the westernmost peaks of those so named on maps of the German Expedition, these being clearly recognizable on detailed maps by the Norwegian–British–Swedish Antarctic Expedition, 1949–52, and subsequent Norwegian expeditions.

Kukri Hills

Kukri Hills is a prominent east-west trending range, about 25 nautical miles (46 km) long and over 2,000 metres (6,600 ft) high, forming the divide between Ferrar Glacier on the south and Taylor Glacier and Taylor Valley on the north, in Victoria Land, Antarctica.

Kullen Knoll is a knoll 2 nautical miles (4 km) north of the Gösta Peaks, in the south part of Ahlmann Ridge in Queen Maud Land, Antarctica. It was mapped and named by Norwegian cartographers from surveys and air photos by the Norwegian–British–Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–52) and air photos by the Norwegian expedition (1958–59).

Dziura Nunatak is an ice-free nunatak, 1,480 metres (4,860 ft) high, located 2 nautical miles (4 km) northwest of Mount Remington in the northwestern extremity of the Helliwell Hills of Victoria Land, Antarctica. The geographical feature was first mapped by the United States Geological Survey from surveys and from U.S. Navy air photos, 1960–63, and was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for Charles S. Dziura, a United States Antarctic Research Program meteorologist at the South Pole Station, 1967–68. This nunatak notably lies situated on the Pennell Coast, a portion of Antarctica lying between Cape Williams and Cape Adare.

Fischer Nunatak is a nunatak, 750 metres (2,460 ft) high, standing 2 nautical miles (4 km) south of Mount Henderson in the northeast part of the Framnes Mountains, Mac. Robertson Land, Antarctica. It was mapped by Norwegian cartographers from air photos taken by the Lars Christensen Expedition, 1936–37, and named "Sornuten". It was renamed by the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions for H.J.L. Fischer, a cook at Mawson Station in 1958.

The Gösta Peaks are the northeastern peaks of the Liljequist Heights, in the southern part of Ahlmann Ridge in Queen Maud Land, Antarctica. They were mapped by Norwegian cartographers from surveys and air photos by the Norwegian–British–Swedish Antarctic Expedition (NBSAE) (1949–52) and from air photos by the Norwegian expedition (1958–59), and were named for Gösta Hjalmar Liljequist, a Swedish meteorologist with the NBSAE.

Halverson Peak is a peak, 1,710 metres (5,600 ft) high, which marks the east side of the terminus of Rawle Glacier, in the King Range of the Concord Mountains of Victoria Land, Antarctica. This topographical feature was first mapped by the United States Geological Survey from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1960–64, and was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for Jack E. Halverson, U.S. Navy, chief electronics technician and member of the McMurdo Station party, 1967. The peak lies situated on the Pennell Coast, a portion of Antarctica lying between Cape Williams and Cape Adare.

Long Peak

Long Peak is a bare rock peak, 1,200 metres (4,000 ft) high, on the extended ridge line, 7 nautical miles (13 km) east-northeast of Mount Landolt in the Petvar Heights of the southeast Sentinel Range in the Ellsworth Mountains of Antarctica. It overlooks the lower courses of Drama Glacier to the north and Gabare Glacier to the south. The peak was mapped by the United States Geological Survey from surveys and U.S. Navy aerial photographs from 1957–59, and was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names in 1984 after James W. Long, a National Science Foundation physician and consultant on Antarctic health matters for 10 years.

The Mason Peaks are a prominent serrated ridge with several peaks, standing 8 nautical miles (15 km) northwest of Mount Harding in the Grove Mountains of Antarctica. The feature was mapped by Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions from air photos, 1956–60, and was named by the Antarctic Names Committee of Australia for A.C. Mason, a topographic draftsman at the Division of National Mapping, Australian Department of National Development, who has contributed substantially to the compilation of Antarctic maps.

Lamberts Peak is a small peak 3 nautical miles (6 km) north-northeast of the Mason Peaks in the Grove Mountains of Antarctica. It was mapped from air photos, 1956–60, by Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions, and was named by the Antarctic Names Committee of Australia for G. Lamberts, a topographic draftsman with the Division of National Mapping at the Australian Department of National Development, who has made a substantial contribution to the compilation of Antarctic maps.

Mount Lepanto is a major peak, 2,910 metres (9,550 ft) high, situated 2 nautical miles (4 km) southeast of Mount Freeman in the Victory Mountains of Victoria Land, Antarctica. It was named by the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition (NZGSAE), 1957–58, after the Battle of Lepanto of 1571, and is one of a group of associated names in this area given by the NZGSAE.
