Raghuvaran, a man with golden heart, is loved by Ramya Krishnan. Raghuvaran's family get killed by Malaysia Vasudevan and his henchmen. Now Raghuvaran wants to take the law into his hands, but he is stopped by his police officer friend Ravi Raghavendra. Will Raghuvaran completes his revenge form the climax.
The film marked the second collaboration of director Hariharan and Raghuvaran after Ezhavathu Manithan (1982). It was Hariharan's first attempt at making mainstream cinema. [3] The film began production in July 1988; however the film was stopped by the producer after first schedule then second schedule began in 1990 and was again stopped. Hariharan expressed disinterest in making this film; however he managed to complete the film in 1993 after the producer threatened him by sending his men to his home. The film was released at Casino Theatre and was removed after few days due to film's poor response. Hariharan revealed he was exhausted and depressed while making this film, since "It was made over a period of five years and everything got out of control" and the reason for the film's failure is story got messed up due to producer's intervention. K. Hariharan is an Indian film director who has directed films in Tamil, Marathi and Hindi. Currently he is the professor of Film Studies at Krea University. Born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, his father H.Krishnan was the Chairman of Eastman Kodak. An alumnus of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Hariharan formed "Yukt Film Co-operative" in 1976 together with his batch mates to make an experimental film called Ghashiram Kotwal (film). Ezhavathu Manithan, his directorial debut in Tamil cinema, won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil and was nominated for Golden St. George at the Moscow International Film Festival.
