Dialog (organization)

Last updated

Dialog is a private, invitation-only society, sometimes compared to Bilderberg and the World Economic Forum. [1] The organization was founded by Peter Thiel and Auren Hoffman. [1] It maintains a low public profile (without a website accessible to public or disclosed membership), and is described as a closed-door meeting that brings together executives, elected officials, and academics. [1] [2]

Contents

In 2025, Dialog purchased land in the Washington, D.C. area for a planned campus. [3]

The organization has been criticized for elitism and for prompting conspiratorial speculation, given its invite-only format and limited public information. [2]

Events

Dialog hosts annual, off-the-record retreats, typically limited to 100 participants. Previous events have been held at the Bacara Resort, [4] Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain in Arizona and the San Clemente Palace in Venice. These gatherings are off the record and emphasize candid discussion across political viewpoints. [5] Topics reportedly range from AI, health care, and politics to personal themes such as caregiving, relationships, mental health, and the afterlife. [1]

Participants

Reported members of Dialog include Reema Al-Saud, Scott Bessent, Cory Booker, Sophia Bush, Ted Cruz, Tulsi Gabbard, Lori Gottlieb, Richard Haass, Jonathan Haidt, Reid Hoffman, Robert Hur, Kaja Kallas, Garry Kasparov, Henry Kravis, Jared Kushner, Wes Moore, Elon Musk, Grover Norquist, Chamath Palihapitiya, Jared Polis, Eric Schmidt, Anne-Marie Slaughter, Larry Summers, Peter Thiel, and Rick Warren.
