Diana Al Shaer (born 14 February 1987) is a Russian-born Palestinian dressage rider and Cultural diplomat. [1] She represented Palestine at the 2022 World Equestrian Games in Herning where she competed in the individual dressage competition with Unazalee de Massa. [2] By doing so, she became the second Palestinian to compete at the World Equestrian Games after Christian Zimmermann, and the first Arab woman at the Dressage World Championships.[ citation needed ]
Al Shaer is half Palestinian and half Russian. Al Shaer's father moved to the Russian Federation from Palestine in 1975 and established the Alfares Equestrian Club in Zavidovo, Russia. She lives in The Netherlands where she trains with Danish Olympian Anne van Olst to qualify and prepare for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. Al Shaer is cultural diplomat by profession and is currently chair of the Dressage Committee for the FEI Regional Group VII, which covers the Middle East and Northern Africa. [3]

Yvonne Losos de Muñiz is a Nigeria-born Dominican Republic Olympic athlete and international Grand Prix dressage rider that represents the Dominican Republic. She belongs to the elite Dominican Olympic athlete program CRESO.
Nicole Uphoff is a German equestrian who competes in the sport of dressage. She won four gold medals in individual and team competition at the 1988 and 1992 Summer Olympics. Riding her star horse, Rembrandt, Uphoff also won numerous other international competitions, including the World Equestrian Games and the European Dressage Championships.
Ingrid Klimke is a German eventing rider. She appeared at five Olympics from 2000 to 2016. With her horse Abraxxas, she won two gold medals in team eventing at the 2008 Summer Olympics and the 2012 Summer Olympics. At the 2016 Summer Olympics, she won a team silver with Hale-Bob.
Edward Gal is a Dutch dressage rider. He and the stallion Totilas, were triple gold medalists at the 2010 FEI World Equestrian Games, becoming the first horse-rider partnership ever to sweep the three available dressage gold medals at a single FEI World Games. Going into the 2010 Games, they had amassed multiple world-record scores in international competition, leading one American journalist to call them "rock stars in the horse world". After the World Equestrian Games, Totilas was sold to German trainer Paul Schockemöhle. Gal continues to be successful training and competing dressage horses at the international level. Despite the success, he has been criticised to be harsh trainer who creates stressed and fearful horses.
The 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games were held in the region of Normandy, France. It was the seventh edition of the Games, which are held every four years and run by the International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI). For team events in the dressage, eventing, and show jumping disciplines, these Games were the first qualifying event for the 2016 Summer Olympics.
The equestrian events at the 2012 Olympic Games in London were held between 28 July and 9 August at Greenwich Park. Medals were awarded in three disciplines for both individual and team competitions.
Abdullah Waleed Al Sharbatly is a Saudi Arabian equestrian who competes in the sport of show jumping. He is mostly known because of his win of the individual silver medal at the 2010 FEI World Equestrian Games. He was part of the Saudi team that won the bronze medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
Charlotte Susan Jane Dujardin is a British dressage rider, equestrian and writer. A multiple World and Olympic champion, Dujardin has been described as the dominant dressage rider of her era. She held the complete set of available individual elite dressage titles at one point: the individual Olympic freestyle, World freestyle and Grand Prix Special, World Cup individual dressage and European freestyle, and Grand Prix Special titles. Dujardin was the first rider to hold this complete set of titles at the same time.

Inessa Viktorovna Merkulova is a Russian Olympic dressage rider. She competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where she placed 23rd in the individual competition aboard Trakehner Mister X. She went on to compete at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo as well, during which she placed 12th in the team competition representing the Russian Olympic Committee, and 31st individually. Merkulova has also represented Russia at five World Equestrian Games, five European Dressage Championships, and seven World Cup Finals.
The 2018 FEI World Equestrian Games were held in Mill Spring, North Carolina, U.S. at the Tryon International Equestrian Center, from September 11 to September 23, 2018. It was the eighth edition of the games, which are held every four years and run by the International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI). This was the second time that North America hosted the Games, the previous time being in 2010, also in the United States.
Christian Zimmermann is a German-born Palestinian Olympic dressage rider. He represented Palestine at the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Normandy where he finished 68th in the individual dressage competition with Cinco de Mayo. By doing so, he became the first Palestinian to compete at the World Equestrian Games.
Morgan Barbançon Mestre is a French and Spanish Olympic dressage rider. Representing Spain, she competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London where she finished 7th in team competition and 23rd in the individual competition.
Palestine competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 5 to 21 August 2016. This was the nation's sixth consecutive appearance at the Summer Olympics.
Equestrian at the 2016 Summer Paralympics consists of 11 dressage events, ten for individual riders across five classes, and a single mixed team, mixed category event. The competitions were held in the Olympic Equestrian Centre in Rio, in September 2016.
Litta Soheila Sohi, is an Iranian dressage rider. She first tried riding at age four in Iran. At age nine she began attending riding classes in Denmark, and she started training in dressage in 2002 in Rome, Italy. She started riding professionally in 2002. She is the first dressage rider to represent Iran in international dressage competitions, doing so at Hickstead Equestrian Centre in 2014, as recorded on the FEI. She also competed in CDI3 Intermediate 1 and CDI3 Prix St-Gorges at Saumur in September 2014. Litta is a member of British Dressage. She competed in Equestrian at the 2018 Asian Games and finished in 6th place.
Caroline Rosanna Pei Jia Chew is a Singaporean equestrian athlete and solicitor. She competed at the 2018 World Equestrian Games and the 2014 Asian Games in dressage, and at the 2010 Youth Olympic Games in show jumping. She won several medals during the Southeast Asian Games, and competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
Tatyana Vladimirovna Kosterina is a Russian dressage rider. She competed at the 2018 World Equestrian Games, multiple European Dressage Championships, and competed as part of the Russian dressage team at the delay Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
