Angwech obtained a Bachelor of Laws from Makerere University. [1]

Career

Angwech began her legal career at ROK advocates. She later served as an attorney for the International Justice Mission for over five years. She currently works as the business development manager at Shonubi Musoke & Co. Advocates. [1] [2] [3]

In September 2020, Diana Angwech was elected vice president of the Uganda Law Society (ULS) replacing Phoena Wall, who was elected as president of the ULS. [4] [5] She also serves as chairperson of the Young Lawyers Committee under the Executive Council of the ULS as well as the Young Lawyers committee under the East Africa Law Society. [6] [3]

Angwech is the founder and chairperson of the Alabaster Mentorship Program. [3] [7] She is chairperson of Abide Family Centre, a non-governmental organization geared towards promoting the health of families located in Jinja, Uganda. [6] [8]

Speciosa Naigaga Wandira Kazibwe, is a Ugandan politician and first female vice president in Africa. She was the sixth vice president of Uganda from 1994 to 2003, making her the first woman in Africa to hold the position of vice-president of a sovereign nation. Irene Ovonji-Odida is a Ugandan lawyer, politician, and women's rights activist. A member of the Uganda Law Reform Commission, she contributed to the writing of the 1995 Ugandan Constitution and helped to shape the East African Community. She has worked for various charities including ActionAid and carried out election monitoring in Uganda and Tanzania. She was an elected member of the East African Legislative Assembly from 2001 to 2006.

She is a lawyer by profession and a member of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party, Uganda's National ruling political party.

Ruth Sebatindira is a Ugandan corporate and tax lawyer who, effective January 2020, was the Administrator of Uganda Telecom Limited (UTL), a government-owned telecommunications company, under court administration since April 2017. She concluded her administration of UTL in November 2022 when she handed over to Evelyn Anite, the State Minister for Privatization, representing the new shareholders following the rebrand of UTL to Uganda Telecommunications Corporation Limited (UTCL).

Anne Juuko, is a Ugandan investment banker and corporate executive, who was appointed by Standard Bank Group as the Regional Head of Global Markets in the group's Eastern African region, covering South Sudan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi and Zambia. Her appointment took effect on 1 April 2024. Her work station is located in Nairobi, Kenya. Before that, from 1 March 2020 until 31 March 2024, she was the managing director and chief executive officer of Stanbic Bank Uganda Limited, the largest commercial bank in the country, by assets, valued at US$1.6 billion as of June 2019. She took up this appointment on 1 March 2020.

Safia Juuko Nalule is a Ugandan Disability Rights activist ,politician and legislator who served as the elected woman representative for People with Disabilities, Central Region, Uganda in Uganda's tenth parliament. In April 2021, she was appointed Chairperson of Uganda Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC). Politically, she is affiliated to the National Resistance Movement under whose ticket she contested in the 2016 general elections.

Pheona Nabasa Gladys Wall, commonly known as Pheona Wall, is a Ugandan lawyer, Public Relation Officer and serves as the president of Uganda Law Society since September 2020. She served as a lecturer of Law at Kampala International University.

Donald Rukare is a Ugandan lawyer, lecturer. Currently serves as the Chairperson of National Council of Sports of Uganda since 16 February 2020 as well he serves as the President of Uganda Olympic Committee. Mariam Fauzat Wangadya alias Mariam Mutonyi Wangadya is a Ugandan lawyer and advocate. An advocate for civil, political, and child rights, Wangadya is the chairperson of the Uganda Human Rights Commission.

Simon Peter Kinobe is a Ugandan lawyer and human rights activist. He is the chairperson NGO Board and a former president of Uganda Law Society, a position he served from 2018-2020.
