Warren William Zevon was an American rock singer-songwriter and musician.
"Werewolves of London" is a rock song performed by American singer-songwriter Warren Zevon. It was composed by Zevon, LeRoy Marinell and Waddy Wachtel and was included on Excitable Boy (1978), Zevon's third solo album. The track featured Fleetwood Mac's Mick Fleetwood and John McVie on drums and bass respectively. The single was released by Asylum Records and was a top 40 US hit, the only one of Zevon's career, reaching No. 21 on the Billboard Hot 100 that May.

The album was credited with connecting the band, known for its jam band concerts and devoted cult following, with a more mainstream audience. The album has also been released in Germany and in the United States of America. "Oceans of Venus" has sold over 25,000 copies in the UK alone.

This single was the first release via the Cruisin' Records label, an independent record label set up by the band's manager, Sil Wilcox, and distributed across the UK by Pinnacle. There was no promotional video made to promote this release; however, a live video of "Spank" later appeared as a bonus multimedia track on the "Black Cherry" CD single.

This single was the band's final single release via the Cruisin' Records label and received the Single of the Week in Kerrang! magazine, October 2000. The single was released on two formats and a promotional video for the single was filmed by Paul Harries. The single was also released across Europe through Raw Power Records with a different track listing and artwork.
Mark W. Doyon is an American author, recording artist, and creative director. He has led the indie rock bands Arms of Kismet, Wampeters and Waterslide, and produced tribute albums to Jonathan Richman, Lou Reed and Warren Zevon. He is the founder and principal of the record label and media company Wampus Multimedia.
