Diemer True (born February 12,1946) is an American politician in the state of Wyoming. He served in the Wyoming House of Representatives and Wyoming Senate as a member of the Republican Party.
He attended Northwestern University. True served as President of the Wyoming Senate from 1991 to 1993. [1] [2]
True also served in a variety of roles in the Wyoming State Republican Party,including state chairman and national committeeman. He was chairman of the Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA) from 2001 to 2003, [3] and was recognized with the annual Chief Roughneck award for career contribution to the domestic energy industry in 2008. [3]
Craig Lyle Thomas was an American politician who served as United States Senator from Wyoming from 1995 until his death in 2007. He was a member of the Republican Party. In the Senate,Thomas was considered an expert on agriculture and rural development. He had served in key positions in several state agencies,including a long tenure as Vice President of the Wyoming Farm Bureau from 1965 to 1974. Thomas resided in Casper for twenty-eight years. In 1984,he was elected from Casper to the Wyoming House of Representatives,in which he served until 1989.

McGee ended up winning re-election by a relatively narrow,but decisive,margin,beating Wold 54-46%.
The 1954 United States Senate elections in Wyoming took place on November 2,1954. Incumbent Democratic Senator Lester C. Hunt,who decided not to be a candidate for re-election,committed suicide by firearm on June 19,1954,and Republican Governor Clifford J. Rogers appointed former state highway commissioner Edward D. Crippa to replace him. Two elections for the Senate seat were held on the same day;one as a special election to fill the remainder of Hunt's original six-year term,and another to select a Senator to serve the next six-year term. Senator Crippa did not run for re-election.
