Digital Film Makers Forum is a public charitable trust registered as a non-profit organisation in India for the promotion of digital films based on Thrissur, Kerala. [1] It is an affiliated Organization to Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi and is organized by a group of amateur filmmakers in Thrissur. [2] [3]

Aim

The trust mainly Proposes to make and distribute of all types of legally valid digital movies. And, it is aimed also to conduct digital film festivals, promote budding filmmakers and other social activities. [4]

The trust was inaugurated by Padma Shri Kalamandalam Kshemavathy on 5 June 2011 at Kerala Sahitya Akademi.

Achuvinte Amma is a 2005 Indian Malayalam-language drama film directed by Sathyan Anthikad and written by Ranjan Pramod from a story by Rajesh Jayaraman. It stars Urvashi, Meera Jasmine and Narain. The music is composed by Ilaiyaraaja. It was also a comeback movie for Urvashi in Malayalam after a gap of six years. The film has won several awards, including the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress (Urvashi), Filmfare Award for Best Film - Malayalam, and Filmfare Award for Best Actress - Malayalam for Meera Jasmine.

Laloorinu Parayanullathu is an Indian documentary film produced by Joseph Paneagaden and directed by Sathish Kalathil under the banner of Digital Film Makers Forum in Malayalam Language. The documentary narrates about the problems of Municipal Garbage dumping in Laloor, a suburban area in Thrissur Municipal Corporation. The film reveals the history of the waste dumping in Laloor since the period of Sakthan Thampuran who was the ruler of the Kingdom of Cochin and first violence against the Garbage dumping here.

Sathish Kalathil is an Indian film and documentary director and producer in Malayalam. He is also story writer, and lyricist. His experimental works are well known and appropriately discussed in Malayalam Cinema industry and his debut movie Jalachhayam (2010) was well discussed according to its experimental approach. His first film was Veenavaadanam (2008), an experimental documentary about art (painting). In 2012, he directed Laloorinu Parayanullathu, a social committed documentary film about municipal solid waste.

K. Balakrishnan Unnithan known as Prof. K.B. Unnithan was a senior political leader in Kerala, India. He was a member of the National Council of Nationalist Congress Party. He was also a social activist and poet – a collection of his poems, "Kaathilola" was published in 2014.

Abu Dhabi Sakthi Award is a literary award instituted by UAE-based Abu Dhabi Sakthi Theatres and awarded to writers in Malayalam literature. Instituted in 1987, it is given in various categories such as novel, story, poetry, drama, literary criticism, scholarly literature and children's literature. The award for literary criticism is named Sakthi Thayat Award, the award instituted for overall contributions is named T. K. Ramakrishnan Award, and the award for other categories of literature is named Sakthi Erumeli Award.

The Vayotthidam Abhimanyu Temple is a Hindu temple located in Vayotthidam, Kuttiady, Kozhikode district, Kerala, India. And, it is the only temple in Kerala for Abhimanyu.
