Digital Ghosts is the sixth album by the progressive-metal group Shadow Gallery. It was released on October 23, 2009 in Europe and November 3, 2009 in the U.S. This is the first album since their former singer Mike Baker died on October 29, 2008.

Shadow Gallery American progressive metal band

Shadow Gallery is an American progressive metal band formed in the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, United States, during the early 1980s, originally under the name Sorcerer. After changing their name to Shadow Gallery and recording a short 8-track demo, the band was signed to Magna Carta Records in 1991. Shadow Gallery's eponymous debut was released the following year in Japan and Europe. In mid-2005, Shadow Gallery released their fifth studio album, Room V, on the European-American independent label Inside Out.

Mike Baker was the lead vocalist for the American progressive metal band Shadow Gallery.

<i>Room V</i> 2005 studio album by Shadow Gallery

Room V is the fifth album by the progressive metal group Shadow Gallery, released in 2005. It continues the story started in Tyranny, picking up after Tyranny's Act II. It is the band's first album not featuring longtime keyboardist Chris Ingles, although he did have input in the album's writing process before his departure. It is also their last album to feature longtime lead vocalist Mike Baker, who died of a heart attack in 2008.

Although the tracks on the album are the same as on the cover the ID tags are all wrong. The album comes up as Prime Cuts and the tracks come up as the first 11 tracks from Prime Cuts.

Prime Cuts is a compilation album by progressive metal band Shadow Gallery. This was the final release from the band on Magna Carta Records. The band compiled the track listing which consisted of 9 original studio cuts, 2 edits and an original unreleased demo from the Carved In Stone sessions. This album contains no songs from the Room V album as that was released on Inside Out Records. The album was pressed with an error, the track listing says track 1 is "Mystery" from the Tyranny album. But in fact, it is "Out Of Nowhere" also from the Tyranny album, which is heard.

Wither (Dream Theater song) Dream Theater song

Wither is a single by the progressive metal band Dream Theater, released on September 15, 2009. The single contains the album version of the song "Wither", an alternative version of "Wither" with vocals and piano only, a demo of "Wither" with John Petrucci on vocals, and a demo of "The Best of Times" with Mike Portnoy on vocals. It is the band's last official release with Portnoy, who left the band in September 2010. This is the only studio release without the Majesty symbol in its front cover.
