39+13 innings of work. On September 15, 2022, Peters was designated for assignment. He cleared waivers and was sent outright to Triple–A Indianapolis on September 18. [19] Peters elected free agency following the season on October 6. [20]

Tokyo Yakult Swallows

On December 20, 2022, Peters signed with the Tokyo Yakult Swallows of Nippon Professional Baseball. [21] In 18 games for the Swallows in 2023, he registered a 6–5 record and 3.22 ERA with 66 strikeouts across 100+23 innings of work. Following the season on November 8, 2023, Yakult announced that they would not keep Peters under contract for the following season, and he became a free agent. [22]
