Dimitra Asilian (Greek : Δήμητρα Ασιλιάν, born 10 July 1972 in Piraeus) is a retired female Greek water polo player of Armenian descent and Olympic silver medalist with the Greece women's national water polo team.

She received a silver medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. [1] [2]

She scored 8 goals at the 1999 Women's European Water Polo Championship in Prato, where Greece finished 5th.

At club level, Asilian started swimming at Greek powerhouse Olympiacos youth Academy at the age of 6. [3] Olympiacos women's water polo department was founded in 1988 and Asilian went on to play for Olympiacos for a total of 29 years (including her youth career) before her retirement at the end of 2006–2007 season at age 35. [3] [4] Asilian is the record goalscorer in the history of the Greek Women's Water Polo League with 703 goals, a record she achieved in a 15-year span (1992–2007). [5] She won 2 Greek Championships (1994–95, 1997–98) and the fourth place in the 1995–96 LEN European Cup with Olympiacos. [6] [7]

Gerasimos "Makis" Voltirakis is a Greek retired water polo player and current water polo coach. Voltirakis was a member of Greece men's national water polo team from 1991 to 1997, with whom he competed in the 1992 Summer Olympics and in the 1996 Summer Olympics. He was part of the Greece men's national water polo team that won the silver medal at the 1997 World Cup in Athens, being voted the tournament's best goalkeeper.

Ioannis Fountoulis is a Greek professional water polo player. Greek League is ranked as one of the top national domestic leagues in European water polo. The champion, the runner-up and the third-placed team qualify for the LEN Euro League.

Olympiacos Women's Water Polo Club is the women's water polo department of the major Greek multi-sport club Olympiacos, based in Piraeus. The department was founded in 1988 and they play their games at the 1000-seated Papastrateio "Petros Kapagerof" Pool in Piraeus.

He was named best rookie of the Greek championship in 2015 and 2016. He then played for Greek powerhouse Olympiacos, with whom he won the 2017–18 LEN Champions League, 2 Greek Championships and 1 Greek Cup. He is currently a player of Ferencvárosi TC.

Emmanouil "Manolis" Prekas is a Greek water polo player, who is a member of Greece men's national water polo team. He plays for Greek powerhouse Olympiacos, with whom he won the 2017–18 LEN Champions League, 2 Greek Championships and 1 Greek Cup.

Dimitra Giakoumi is a female professional volleyball player from Greece, who has been a member of the Greece women's national volleyball team. At club level, she played for Greek powerhouse Olympiacos Piraeus from 2010 to 2013, winning 1 Greek Championship and 3 Greek Cups. As Olympiacos captain, she led the club to the first Greek Championship in its history in 2012–13 season, being voted Greek Championship 2012–13 MVP in the process.

Maria Kanellopoulou is a Greek water polo player. She was a member of the Greece women's national water polo team that finished in the fourth place at the 2001 European Championship in Budapest. She also competed in the 1998 World Championship in Perth where Greece finished in fifth place, and the 2003 World Championship in Barcelona where the Greek team finished 9th. Kanellopoulou was also part of the Greece women's national water polo team that won the gold medal at the 1997 Junior World Championship in Prague.

Giorgos Morfesis is a Greek water polo coach, who has been in charge of the Greece women's national water polo team during the years 2010-2020.

Arsenis Maroulis is a retired Greek water polo player and water polo coach, currently coaching G.S. Peristeriou. Maroulis played for Greek powerhouse Olympiacos with whom he won the 2001–02 LEN Champions League in Budapest, being also runner-up of the 2000–01 LEN Champions League in Dubrovnik.

The Greek Women’s Water Polo Cup is the second domestic competition of the Greek women's water polo and it began with 2017-18 season. The first final four of the competition was held in Karpenisi in March of 2018 and the first winner was Olympiacos winning Vouliagmeni in the final.

AEK Men's Water Polo Club is the men's water polo department of the major Greek multi-sport club, AEK Sports Club, based in Athens, Greece. The club's home ground is in Athens. It was founded in 1962 and after its dissolution in the '70s, it was re-established in 2017.

The Greek Women's Water Polo Super Cup is a Water Polo club competition in Greece founded in 2020. It is an annual match between the Greek A1 Ethniki Women Champion and the Cup Winner of the same year. The matches take place in different locations. Olympiacos has the most Super Cups.
