Disco Ruido is a Mexican electronic rock band formed in 2009.
Disco Ruido was formed by producer Julian Placencia with fellow DJs and friends. The band started performing live shows in a similar way a DJ set is made, performing only in night clubs and other social events, and quickly gaining recognition in the electronic scene in Mexico City. [1] The live band consisted of guest vocalists that helped performing the band's remixes to other artists. In April 2009, the band released "Mrs. Love", a song based on samples from The Beatles' "You Know My Name (Look Up The Number)". The song was released through a campaign called "Love Revolution" which made Disco Ruido the first Mexican band to top The Hype Machine's popularity chart. The song quickly gained controversy and a wide radio airplay becoming the band's first major success. Mexican radio station Reactor 105 listed the song as #4 on their "Best Of 2009" list. [2]
In April 2010, Disco Ruido started work on their first album, Sistema Solar (Solar System) The album comprises a collection of songs written with frequent on-stage collaborator Mercedes Nasta. The record's main concept is the metaphor between love and the gravitational pull of celestial bodies, and focuses around themes like, nature, the cosmos, ancient cultures, and their relationship with modern-age ideas of fear, love and psychosis. During the recording sessions for their second album, Disco Ruido started Vox Humana, a side project that focuses on more dance and club oriented tracks with a much more simple approach in production. The name Vox Humana references the signature preset of the Polymoog synthesizer, which was widely used by electronic rock icon, Gary Numan, who Disco ruido often cite as a big influence on their style and music. The project unveiled a club tour around Mexico, Costa Rica and some United States cities. Recording sessions for the project resulted in two EPs that showed a more instrumental side of the band.

Disco is the first remix album by English synth-pop duo Pet Shop Boys, released on 17 November 1986 by Parlophone in the United Kingdom and by EMI America Records in the United States. Disco consists of remixes of tracks from the band's debut album Please and its respective B-sides. The album includes remixes by Arthur Baker, Shep Pettibone and the Pet Shop Boys themselves.
Disco 3 is the third remix album by English synth-pop duo Pet Shop Boys, released on 3 February 2003 by Parlophone. The album consists of five remixes of songs and B-sides from their previous album, Release, three new tracks, a new recording of "Positive Role Model" from their 2001 musical Closer to Heaven, and a cover version of "Try It ", originally by Oh Romeo, the band of former Pet Shop Boys producer Bobby Orlando. "Positive Role Model" also appeared on the Germany-only single "London" in 2002 as a B-side.
Tiga James Sontag, known simply as Tiga, is a Canadian musician, DJ and record producer of electronic dance music. He has released three albums, Sexor, Ciao!, and No Fantasy Required. Sexor won the 2007 Juno Award for Dance Recording of the Year. Tiga released a selection of compilations in the early 2000s, featuring mixes such as American Gigolo, DJ-Kicks: Tiga and, Mixed Emotions, which put him on the map as one of "the world's best mixers". Fulano de Tal was a north-American latin rock band, formed in 1995 in Miami, Florida. The original band members were: Elsten Torres, Brendan Buckley, Julian Adam Zimmon (Guitars), and Leo Nobre. John Michael Falcone replaced Leo in 1996. Fulano de Tal recorded two full-length albums. The name of the band is the Portuguese/Spanish variant of the American term "John Doe". The first album was called Normal and it was released in April 1997 through BMG/RCA records. At the time, Fulano was the first north-American latin rock band to be signed to a major label. The band toured extensively throughout the United States and some Latin American countries during the years of 1997 and 1999. In 2000, the band released their sophomore effort, Etc. through the independent label: Radio Vox/DLN. It was also in 2000 that the band separated. Brendan and Julian joined pop/superstar Shakira as part of her touring band. Elsten Torres released the Grammy nominated album, Individual in 2006 under the name "Fulano", but it was his first solo album although both Brendan and Julian joined in the production and performance of the album.
