Sponge is an American rock band formed in Detroit, Michigan in 1992 by vocalist Vinnie Dombroski, guitarist Mike Cross, bassist Tim Cross, drummer Jimmy Paluzzi, and guitarist Joey Mazzola. Dombroski and the Cross brothers were previously in the hard rock band Loudhouse, with Mazzola joining later before the end of the band's tenure. The Roots are an American hip hop band formed in 1987 by Tariq "Black Thought" Trotter and Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. The Roots serve as the house band on NBC's The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, having served in the same role on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon from 2009 to 2014.
Kix is an American glam metal and hard rock band that achieved popularity during the 1980s. Led by frontman Steve Whiteman and bassist Donnie Purnell, the band's classic lineup was rounded out by drummer Jimmy "Chocolate" Chalfant and guitarists Ronnie "10/10" Younkins and Brian "Damage" Forsythe. Billy Boy on Poison was an American rock and roll band from Los Angeles, California. Andrew Leahy of AllMusic suggested the band was "[l]ike the glittery offspring of the New York Dolls", and they "create a debauched, glammy, gender-bending style of rock & roll". The band formed in 2005 by members Davis LeDuke, Ryan Wallengren, Dashiell LeFrancis and Jess Calcaterra. The band was managed by Blue Cave Entertainment Group, LLC (BCEG). In 2007, LeFrancis left the band & was replaced by guitarist Gregory West. After writing and recording with producer Chris Sorensen and songwriter Michael Gurley, and engineers Big Stu Brantley and Doug Messenger--- BCEG began shopping the band, and they were subsequently signed by Kiefer Sutherland and Jude Cole of Ironworks Music. In 2009, bass player Julian Borrego left Billy Boy on Poison, and after a rotating cast of bass players, the band settled with Jacob Pillot in December 2010.

Swahili Blonde is an experimental musical project formed in Los Angeles, California in 2009. Founded by former WEAVE! drummer and vocalist Nicole Turley, violinist and bassist Laena Myers-Ionita, Duran Duran bassist John Taylor and multi-instrumentalists Stella Mozgawa and Michael Quinn. Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist and Turley's now ex-husband, John Frusciante, performs guitar on the band's recordings, and did perform alongside the group at their debut performance, while he was briefly a full-time band member.

Givers is an indie pop group from Lafayette, Louisiana. The band is made up of vocalist and percussionist Tiffany Lamson, vocalist and guitarist Taylor Guarisco, and bassist and guitarist Josh LeBlanc. The band's origins date to Hurricane Katrina in 2005, which displaced Lamson and Guarisco from their New Orleans apartment and school, leading them to return to Lafayette with little to do. The duo began playing music together, and they recruited the other members shortly before a last-minute performance at a local pub in 2008. The band came together as the result of the unplanned, improvised jam.
