Divine Richard Komla Bosson also known as Divine Bosson is the Municipal Chief Executive of the Ho Municipal Assembly in the Volta Region of Ghana. [1]
Bosson has his basic education at the Shia Roman Catholic Junior High School and later had his high school education at the Kpedze Senior High School. [2]
Bosson is a member of the New Patriotic Party. He served as Acting Constituency Youth Organizer Ho Central Constituency in 2000 and then as Constituency Organizer in the same constituency from 2001 to 2005.[ citation needed ]
Bosson is contesting as a parliamentary candidate for the Ho Central Constituency in the Volta Region of Ghana in the 2024 Ghanaian general election. [3] [4]
The New Patriotic Party is a centre-right and liberal-conservative political party in Ghana. Since the democratisation of Ghana in 1992, it has been one of the two dominant parties in Ghanaian politics, with its leading rival being the centre-left National Democratic Congress (NDC). John Kufuor of the NPP was President of Ghana from 2001 to 2009. At the elections held on 7 December 2004, the party won 129 out of 230 seats. The NPP candidate was Kufuor, who was re-elected as president with 52.75% of the vote. The New Patriotic Party symbol is the African elephant and the New Patriotic Party colours are red, white, and blue.
Volta Region is one of Ghana's sixteen administrative regions, with Ho designated as its capital. It is located west of Republic of Togo and to the east of Lake Volta. Divided into 25 administrative districts, the region is multi-ethnic and multilingual, including groups such as the Ewe, the Guan, and the Akan peoples. The Guan peoples include the Lolobi, Likpe, Akpafu, Akyode, Buem, Nyagbo, Avatime, and Nkonya. This region was carved out of the Volta Region in December 2018 by the New Patriotic Party. The people of the Volta Region are popularly known as Voltarians. This group includes the Ewes, Guans and other minor tribes living in the Volta Region. The people of the Volta Region are popular known for their rich cultural display and music some of which include Agbadza, Borborbor and Zigi.
John-Peter Amewu is a Ghanaian politician and current Minister for Railways Development and Member of Parliament (MP) for Hohoe Constituency in the Volta Region. He was Minister of Energy and Minister for Lands and Natural Resources.
