Kpedze Senior High School (also known as KPESCO) is a second cycle institution in Kpedze in the Ho West District in the Volta Region of Ghana. [1] [2] [3] In March 2016, the school emerged as winners in a debate organized by the Evangelical Presbyterian University College. [4]

History

The school was established on 12 November 1962 and began with 10 boys and 5 girls making 15 students. [1] [3] In 2011, Mr. Gabriel Mawusi Aku was the headmaster of the school. [3] In 2019, the headmaster of the school was Togbe Foe Tsali II. [2] In 2020, the headmaster of the school was Mr. Gadotor Yram. [5] In July 2022, the school were winners of the Volta Regional Renewable Energy Challenge hosted by the Energy Commission. [6]

Hohoe Municipal is one of the 25 administrative districts of the Volta Region of Ghana. It was carved out of the former Kpando District. It was established by the Legislative Instrument of 2012. The Municipality has a total land area of 1,172 km2, which is 5.6 per cent of the land area of the region. It shares borders with the Republic of Togo on the east, forming part of Ghana's international border; on the southeast by the Afadzato district and southwest by Kpando Municipality; on the north with Jasikan district; and on the northwest with the Biakoye districts. The Savannah Region is one of the newest regions of Ghana and yet the largest region in the country. The creation of the Region follows presentation of a petition by the Gonja Traditional Council, led by the Yagbonwura Tumtumba Boresa Jakpa I.
