Thuthuka Wandile Zindlovu, prominently known as Dlala Thukzin is a South African DJ and record producer born and bred in Lamontville, KwaZulu-Natal. [1] He is famous for his versatility of blending amapiano and afro tech with gqom. [2] [3] [4]

Zindlovu came to prominence subsequent to producing Babes Wodumo's "Umngan'wami" taken from her 2016 studio album Gqom Queen, Vol. 1. [2]

In 2021, Thukzin released "Phuze" and "Phuze Remix" with guest appearances from Zaba, Mpura, Sir Trill and Rascoe Kaos, the prior and latter certified Gold and Platinum respectively by the Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA). [5] In 2023, he released "iPlan" from his extended play (EP) Permanent Music 3 (2023), [6] which peaked at number one on Local Streaming Chart Top 10 of The Official South African Charts, [7] number one on Local & International Streaming Chart Top 10, [8] and number one Billboard South Africa songs. [9] In addition the song was certified 2× Platinum in South Africa. [10]

His single "AmaGear" with Zee Nxumalo, Funky Qla, featuring MK Productions released on 5 July 2024. The song debuted number 5 on Local Streaming Top 10. [11]

Amapiano, a South African music genre taken from the Nguni language word for "pianos", is a subgenre of kwaito and house music that emerged in South Africa in the mid-2010s. It is a hybrid of deep house, gqom, jazz, soul and lounge music characterized by synths and wide, percussive basslines.

Nkosazana Nolwazi Kimberly Nzama professionally known as Nkosazana Daughter, is a South African singer and songwriter. Nzama gained national recognition after she released her 14-track debut album that featured notable artists such as DJ Maphorisa, Makhadzi, Master KG, Kabza de Small, Tyler ICU, Major League DJz, Young Jonn, and Chronical Deep, and others. She collaborated with Master KG and Lowsheen on "Sofa Silahlane", which was released on 12 May 2022. The track hit number 1 on Apple's Local iTunes Charts. In April 2022, the music video of 'Dali Nguwe' featuring Master KG reached 3 million views in three weeks. In June 2023, her debut studio album got released and charted number 34 on Spotify Top albums, and debuted number 3 in South Africa. Afro tech, is a sub-genre of house music and afro house which originates and is predominantly made in South Africa. It emerged in the 2010s. South African DJs and music producers who popularized the genre include Black Coffee, Culoe De Song, Bekzin Terris, Euphonik, Punk Mbedzi, DJ Tira, Zakes Bantwini, Shimza and Da Capo.

"Imithandazo" is an amapiano song by Kabza de Small and Mthunzi from their collaborative studio album Isimo (2023). It was released on 27 October 2023 by Piano Hub under exclusive license from Sony Music Entertainment Africa, it features guest appearances from DJ Maphorisa, Sizwe Alakine, Young Stunna, and Umthakathi Kush with production handled by Kabza de Small and DJ Maphorisa, collectively known as Scorpion Kings.

Zandile Nxumalo professionally known as Zee Nxumalo is a Swati-born South African singer and songwriter. Born Eswatini and raised in Alexandra, Johannesburg her single "Funk 55", released in 2023 calputed her to mainstream success and certified 5× Platinum in South Africa.
