Dnyanesh Maharao is a writer and editor [2] of renowned Marathi weekly magazine Chitralekha . He is in active journalist since 1 June 1989. Earlier he was Assistant Editor of Marathi weekly magazine Vivek, from 1 April 1985 to 31 May 1989. He has written more than 20 books in Marathi as well as in English. He has also written two plays in Marathi: Jinku ya Dahi Disha and Sangeet Ghanlin Lotangan. [8] [9] [10] [11]

On the occasion of the 125th birth anniversary of Bal Gandharva and 130th anniversary of Sangeet Saubhadra, as a tribute to Annasaheb Kirloskar and Bal Gandharva, he has recreated Sangeet Saubhadra under the banner of Om Natyagandha Mumbai and presented it to the current generation to have a test of the old musical drama. He himself has played the role of Narad in this play.

He was a Festival Director for the 4th Annual "Maharashtra State Level Egalitarian Literature Festival" (समतावादी साहित्य संमेलन) which was held from 26 to 28 November 2011 at Latur Maharashtra.

Sangeet Natak is a form of drama which combines prose and poetry in the form of songs to convey the story, similar to musicals. They have played a vital role in the development of Marathi theater and cinema, as well as the Indian film industry. Sangeet Nataks start with the praise of Lord Natraja, which is called Naandi, Mangalaacharan or Suchakpad – usually the famous "Panchatunda Nararundamaldhar" from Sangeet Shakuntal. They are popular for the use of Indian classical music. The "Dramatic Music" is called Natya Sangeet, one of the two popular forms of vocal arts in Maharashtra and surrounding states. Dr. Akshaykumar Malharrao Kale born 27 July 1953, is a critic of modern Marathi poetry, and was Professor and Head of Marathi Department in RTM Nagpur University, Nagpur, India. In the field of criticism of modern Marathi poetry, his contributions have attracted the attention of scholars of Marathi language and literature throughout Maharashtra. He was the president of prestigious 90th Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan held in Dombivali. Kale is also member of general Council of Sahitya Akademi, India.

Paresh Mokashi is an Indian filmmaker, producer, actor and Theatre director-producer; working predominantly in Marathi cinema and Marathi theatre. He started working as a backstage worker for theatre and did few minor roles for plays as well as films. Mokashi made his directorial debut for theatre with the Marathi play, Sangeet Debuchya Mulee in 1999. He continued to work for theatre and made his directorial debut for cinema with the 2009 Marathi feature film, Harishchandrachi Factory. Prasad Khandekar is an Indian actor, script writer who best known for his work in Marathi-language comedy show Maharashtrachi Hasyajatra. He entered the film industry with the 2022 Marathi drama Lochya Zaala Re and took on his first directorial role in 2023 with Ekda Yeun Tar Bagha.

<i>Sangeet Manapmaan</i> 2025 Indian Marathi musical drama film by Subodh Bhave

Sangeet Manapmaan is an upcoming Indian Marathi-language epic musical film directed by Subodh Bhave. The film stars Subodh Bhave, Sumeet Raghavan and Vaidehi Parshurami with Nivedita Saraf, Upendra Limaye, Neena Kulkarni and Shailesh Datar in supporting roles. It is jointly produced by Jio Studios and Shree Ganesh Marketing And Films, Sangeet Manapmaan is an adaptation of the classic play of the same name by Krishnaji Prabhakar Khadilkar. Sudheer Palsane handled the cinematography and editing was performed by Ashish Mhatre.
