Doctor Dream Records was an independent record label founded in 1982 by Dave Hayes that originated from Orange, California. [1] During its time as an independent the company released over 100 records in punk rock, alternative rock, comedy, and heavy metal music. The company logo was designed by Josh Agle. Doctor Dream Records was sold to Mercury/PolyGram in 1997. [2]

Noise Records is a German heavy metal record label founded in 1983 by German music industry personality Karl-Ulrich Walterbach as an expansion of his company Modern Music Records. It was sold to the Sanctuary Records Group in 2001 and ceased any activity in 2007 due to the bankruptcy of Sanctuary. The Noise catalogue was consequently acquired by Universal Music Group later on. In April 2016, BMG Rights Management, which had acquired Sanctuary Records in 2013, announced that it would revive the Noise Records label.

Halfcocked was an American hard rock band. Influenced by 1970s hard rock and punk rock, along with 1980s glam metal, they started out in Boston in 1997 and signed with independent label Curve of the Earth Records. In 1999 the band placed third in the finals of the WBCN Rock & Roll Rumble, being the first "wild card" act to play in the finals.
