Dogsbody is the debut studio album by American band Model/Actriz. The album was released on February 24, 2023, through True Panther Sounds. [2]
The album has been recorded since 2021. [1] In an interview with Document Journal, frontman Cole Haden described the album as "Picking up my damn body from all of those times, not knowing what really was meant by all of that suffering… This album is the reason for having experienced all of that." [3] Model/Actriz said that Dogsbody recorded with afar from the atmosphere of previous EPs. [4]
Haden, who is openly gay, said that lyrically he was inspired by the musical Cats because it "filled [him] with sexual vigor and terror." [5] According to Haden, "as a gay person working in a genre that’s not very outwardly gay, the album is very gay. And when people from the queer community are relating to it, that makes me feel proud of the thing that we made." [6]

Jayson Greene of Pitchfork reviewed "Dogsbody is the perfect foil to frontman Cole Haden’s white-hot charisma", and gave it a "Best New Music" designation. [1] John Wohlmacher of Beats Per Minute said, "With Haden’s starkly poetic lyrics and borderline crazed delivery comes a counter-position to the harsh music, creating a unique tension that no other group from the American post-no wave scene generated." [7]

Sad Sappy Sucker is a 2001 studio album released by alternative rock band Modest Mouse. Originally slated to be Modest Mouse's debut album in 1994, Sad Sappy Sucker was shelved for several years until its eventual release in 2001, following the popularity of the band's third album The Moon & Antarctica. Several songs were recorded at Olympia, Washington's Dub Narcotic Studios by Beat Happening frontman Calvin Johnson. The record was officially released by Johnson's label K Records on April 24, 2001, available in both Compact Disc and vinyl LP, and containing nine additional tracks added to the original track listing of 15 songs.

(M.1.C.S.) My 1st Chemistry Set is the debut studio album by Detroit rapper Boldy James and producer The Alchemist, released on October 15, 2013 through Decon. It was preceded by Boldy James' EP, Grand Quarters (2013). M.1.C.S. was entirely produced by The Alchemist and features guest appearances from Action Bronson, Domo Genesis, Earl Sweatshirt, Freeway, King Chip and Vince Staples among others. On September 12, 2013, the lead single from the album, "Moochie," was leaked onto the Internet. The following single, "Reform School," was leaked on October 7, 2013. M.1.C.S. was generally well received by music critics. Complex named it amongst the best albums of October 2013.
Girlpool was an indie rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed by friends Avery Tucker and Harmony Tividad. Their debut self-titled EP Girlpool was released on Bandcamp in 2014 and re-released on Wichita Recordings later that year. They released their debut album Before the World Was Big in 2015, followed by Powerplant (2017) and What Chaos Is Imaginary (2019). Their fourth and final studio album, Forgiveness (2022), was released on April 29. In August 2022, the duo announced that they will be taking an indefinite break from the band.
Untethered Moon is the eighth studio album by American rock band Built to Spill. The album was released on vinyl for Record Store Day on April 18, 2015, and on CD and digital format on April 21, 2015. It is the band's first album in nearly six years, since 2009's There Is No Enemy, making it the band's longest delay between studio albums up to that point. Frontman Doug Martsch explained:

Never Were the Way She Was is a collaborative album by Colin Stetson and Sarah Neufeld, released on April 28, 2015 by Constellation Records. It was recorded live in the studio without the use of overdubs or loops at the End of the World studio in Vermont. Neufeld and Stetson had first met in 2006 when Neufeld's Bell Orchestre shared a bill with Antibalas, who Stetson was playing with. The two artists had previously collaborated on the soundtrack to the 2013 film Blue Caprice. The album received favorable reviews and won a Juno Award.
God's Father is a mixtape by American rapper Lil B. It was released on February 27, 2012 through Lil B's BasedWorld Records label. Featuring 34 tracks, the mixtape has received positive reviews from music critics.
A New Place 2 Drown is the second studio album by English singer-songwriter Archy Marshall, better known by his stage name King Krule. It was released on 10 December 2015 via True Panther Sounds and XL Recordings. The album is accompanied by a book published by Topsafe also named A New Place 2 Drown that showcases the poetry and artwork of Archy and his older brother Jack and a short film directed by Will Robson-Scott.
Impersonator is the third studio album by Canadian pop duo Majical Cloudz, released on May 21, 2013, by Matador Records and Mythryl Records. It was their first album on Matador after signing with the label in February 2013. It was also the group's first album to feature producer Matthew Otto as a member, following the departure of Matthew E. Duffy after the release of II in 2011.
