Dol Prasad Aryal is a Nepalese politician and the current Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security. Previously, In 2023, he served the same position for a term of 19 days in the Prachanda-led government. He is a member of the Pratinidhi Sabha, having been elected as a proportional representative from the Khas people category in the 2022 Nepalese general election. [1] [2]

He briefly served as the acting chairman of Rastriya Swatantra Party in January 2023 when Rabi Lamichhane was stripped of all his positions after his citizenship was declared invalid by the Supreme Court. [3] [4]

Rabi Lamichhane is a Nepali politician currently serving as the Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister of Nepal. A former journalist, Rabi became the member of the House of Representatives from Chitwan 2 again on 28 April 2023, having previously represented the constituency from December 2022 to January 2023. He also previously served as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs between December 2022 to January 2023. On 6th March 2024, he was appointed as minister for home affairs for the second time.

The Second Federal Parliament of Nepal, was elected by the 2022 general elections on 20 November 2022. The elections elected 275 Members of Parliament (MPs), 165 for each constituency and 110 through the party list, to the House of Representatives. The parliament convened for the first time on 9 January 2023.

The 2nd Koshi Provincial Assembly was elected through the provincial elections held on 20 November 2022. The assembly has 56 constituency seats in which members are elected through direct elections and 36 proportional representation party list seats. The term of the assembly is 5 years unless dissolved earlier. The first session of the assembly commenced from 1 January 2023.

The second Bagmati Provincial Assembly was elected by the 2022 provincial elections on 20 November 2022. 110 members were elected to the assembly, 66 of whom were elected through direct elections and 44 of whom were elected through the party list proportional representation system. The 2023 Chitwan–2 by-election was held in the Chitwan 2 constituency of Nepal on 23 April 2023. The by-election was held as the result of the vacation of the seat by the sitting member, Rabi Lamichhane, chairperson of the Rastriya Swatantra Party. It was held alongside by-elections in Tanahun 1 and Bara 2.
