Donnell C. Childers (born March 3,1932) is an American businessman and former politician from the state of Florida. He served in the State Senate from 1975 to 1990.
Childers was born in 1932 in Alabama. He attended Troy State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree,and moved to Florida in 1960. He was a contractor and member of a bank advisory board. [1]
In 1974,he was elected to the State Senate for the 28th district,and he served until 1990. [2]

John Stansel Taylor was a Largo,Florida politician,citrus grower,and businessman who served as the first State Senator from Pinellas County,Florida. He was born "six miles south of Largo" on March 21,1871,before Largo became a municipality and when Pinellas County was still Western Hillsborough County. Taylor’s parents were among the Pinellas Peninsula's first pioneers,and he was one of the first residents to be born in the Largo area. He was one of four members of his family to serve in the State Legislature. He was one of the largest landowners in Pinellas County,owning citrus groves and a packing plant at a time when Largo was nicknamed "Citrus City." Taylor was President of the Florida Citrus Exchange and a Member of the State Citrus Commission. He has been called "the father of Pinellas County." He died in 1936. Taylor Lake Park,a Pinellas County park,was named in his honor.

He earned his undergraduate degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1973,and his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Law School in 1979. Kasold also earned a Master of Laws from the Georgetown University Law Center in 1982 and an Master of Laws equivalent from the Judge Advocate General's Legal Center and School in 1984.
