The 1890 United States House of Representatives elections were held for the most part on November 4,1890,with five states holding theirs early in between June and October. They occurred in the middle of President Benjamin Harrison's term. Elections were held for 332 seats of the United States House of Representatives,representing 44 states,to serve in the 52nd United States Congress. Special elections were also held throughout the year.
The 1864–65 United States House of Representatives elections were held on various dates in various states between June 5,1864,and November 7,1865,in the midst of the American Civil War and President Abraham Lincoln's reelection. Each state set its own date for its elections to the House of Representatives. Members were elected before the first session of the 39th United States Congress convened on December 4,1865,including the at-large seat from the new state of Nevada,and the 8 from Tennessee,the first secessionist state to be readmitted. She is a member of the Democratic Party.
Jan Slaughter Jones is an American politician in Georgia. A Republican,she has been a member of the Georgia House of Representatives since 2003,and was acting Speaker of the House from November 2022 to January 2023 following the death of former Speaker David Ralston. Jones serves as Speaker pro tempore of the House,a position she has held continuously since 2010 with the exception of her brief stint as acting Speaker. She is the state representative for Georgia's 47th House district,which covers some of the northern Atlanta suburbs,including parts of Milton,Roswell,Alpharetta,Mountain Park,and unincorporated Cherokee County.

The 2022 Alabama House of Representatives elections were held on November 8,2022. The Republican and Democratic primaries were held on May 24,2022,and any races in which no candidate exceeded one-half plus one of the total votes advanced to a runoff on June 21,2022. This was the first election cycle since 2002 in which the Libertarian Party of Alabama was on the ballot,as they exceeded the threshold for petition signatures needed to gain ballot access in Alabama. Libertarian candidates were nominated by party convention. All 105 of Alabama's state representatives were up for reelection. In Alabama,members of both the House of Representatives and the Senate serve four-year terms,running in years corresponding with presidential midterm elections.
