Career
Elliott served in the United States Navy and remained in the Naval Reserve until 1971,retiring at the rank of Lt. Commander.
Delegate Elliott has worked as a pharmacist in several capacities,including owning &operating two pharmacies in Carroll County,and remains a registered pharmacist.
During his time in the legislature,Elliott had concentrated his efforts on the Health &Government Operations Committee towards reforming Maryland's health insurance market.
Delegate Elliott introduced legislation in the 2008 session centering on personal responsibility with regards to health insurance. [2] This legislation encompassed one piece of the noted Massachusetts health care reform. The personal responsibility concept has been endorsed by former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney,and also former U.S. Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich.
During the 2010 session of the Maryland General Assembly,he attempted to eliminate the requirement to have all vehicles in Maryland have front license plates. The Maryland Department of Legislative Services Estimated this would have saved the state over $500,000 the first year alone,with savings of over $750,000 in subsequent years.
Elliott officially retired from politics and the Maryland Legislature in January 2015.

Redmer Jr. and Eric Bromwell. Alfred W. Redmer Jr. resigned in 2003 to accept an appointment as Maryland Insurance Commissioner and was replaced by John Cluster. In 2006, he won again along with Eric M. Bromwell and Todd Schuler.
Margaret L. "Maggie" McIntosh is an American politician from the state of Maryland. She was a member of the Maryland House of Delegates from 1993 to 2023. She is a former Baltimore City Public School teacher who now chairs one of the six standing committees of the Maryland House of Delegates. A Democrat, she represented the state's 43rd district in Baltimore City. Following her retirement from the Maryland House of Delegates in 2023, McIntosh has worked as a senior consultant at the Cornerstone Government Affairs lobbying group.

He formerly served as a legislator in the Maryland House of Delegates, representing District 8 in Baltimore County, prior to being appointed Maryland Insurance Commissioner in 2003.
Maryland's Legislative District 8 is one of 47 districts in the state for the Maryland General Assembly. The district currently consists of part of Baltimore County, Maryland. The district includes the communities of Carney, Overlea, Parkville, Perry Hall, Rosedale, Rossville, Towson, and White Marsh. The District was established in 1975. The district also represented a small portion of Northeast Baltimore City, Maryland from 1995 to 2002.
