Today, some of the most popular rappers use Swedish, often in different accents.

The group is made up of members Erik "Rook" Ortiz, Kevin "Colione" Crowe and Kamaal Muhammad. The group takes their name from the DC Comics superhero team the Justice League. The distinctive producer tag of a J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League production is a female voice echoing the words "Justice League" twice at the beginning of most of their songs. A trademark of theirs is taking a sample and replaying parts of it themselves while changing it. They have a Grammy Award for Best R&B Album for their work on The Breakthrough, by Mary J. Blige.

He was formerly signed to DJ Khaled's label We the Best Music Group, Def Jam Recordings and Cash Money Records. His song "Top of the World", from his debut studio album Gutta, was featured in the basketball simulation game, NBA 2K10. He has released four studio albums with his most successful being his last two albums, Blood, Sweat & Tears (2011) and Trials & Tribulations (2013). He is best known for the hit singles "Hustle Hard" and "Bugatti". In 2016, McColister announced his departure from We the Best Music.

The Elusive Chanteuse (2014), and features rapper Wale. The track was released on June 30, 2014, as the fourth single from the album. It was written by Wale, Carey, Jermaine Dupri and Bryan-Michael Cox, with production helmed by the latter three. The song contains an interpolation of "I'm Caught Up in a One Night Affair" written by Patrick Adams and Terri Gonzalez, both of whom received songwriting credits as a result. The single's artwork caused controversy when the media criticised Carey for photoshopping and re-using images of herself. Carey herself later expressed her discontent on the matter, stating that she had no knowledge of the single's artwork until it was released.
