Donald Clyde Taylor (born August 11,1958) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He pitched parts of three seasons in the Major League Baseball (MLB),1987 and 1989 for the Pittsburgh Pirates and 1990 for the Baltimore Orioles. He coached baseball at Bishop McDevitt High School in Glenside,Pennsylvania for several years after retiring.
Taylor played college baseball before flunking out of school,after which he spent three years working as a janitor and playing semi-pro baseball before catching on with the Pittsburgh Pirates. [1]
Stephen Robert Blass is an American retired professional baseball pitcher and television sports color commentator. He played his entire career in Major League Baseball as a right-handed pitcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1964 and then from 1966 through 1974. Blass was one of the National League's top pitchers between 1968 and 1972,helping the Pirates win four National League Eastern Division titles in five years between 1970 and 1974. He played a key role in the Pirates victory over the Baltimore Orioles in the 1971 World Series when he recorded two complete game victories. He remains the last National League pitcher to throw a complete game in Game Seven of a World Series. After his playing career ended,Blass had a 34-year career as a television sports commentator for Pittsburgh Pirates games.

Law signed for the Pirates as an amateur free agent in 1948 and played for three of their minor league affiliates until 1950,when he was promoted to the major leagues.

A highly rated prospect out of Oviedo High School,Merchant was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates with the second overall selection after Ken Griffey Jr. in the 1987 Major League Baseball draft.
