David Lesley Schultz was an American Olympic and World champion freestyle wrestler, and a seven-time World and Olympic medalist. He coached individuals and teams at the college level and also privately.
Wrestling competitions at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China, were held at the China Agricultural University Gymnasium from 12–21 August 2008. It was split into two disciplines, Freestyle and Greco-Roman which are further divided into different weight categories. Men competed in both disciplines whereas women only took part in the freestyle events with 18 gold medals being awarded. This was the second Olympics with women's wrestling as an event.

Humphrey is also Indiana high school state champion, Freestyle and Greco-Roman national champion. 2x All-American out of the Ohio State University. At the 2015 World Championships he won to world bronze medalist Daulet Niyazbekov of Kazakhstan, but in second round he lost to Mongolia's Batboldyn Nomin, Batboldyn reached to the final, Humphrey lost to bronze world medalist Bajrang Punia of India in the first round of repechage.
