The Downtown Concord Historic District encompasses most of the commercial heart of downtown Concord, New Hampshire, United States. Incorporated in 1734, Concord became the state capital in 1808 and the seat of Merrimack County in 1823. Economic growth followed, due in part to these government institutions and also to the rise of industry along the Merrimack River, which flows through the city east of the downtown area, and the arrival in the 1840s of the railroad. The New Hampshire State House was built in 1819 south of the traditional center of the city, and the commercial heart of the city began to take shape along the First New Hampshire Turnpike south of the State House. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.

The area's development took place primarily in the 19th century, with surviving buildings from both the 18th and early 20th centuries. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, and was enlarged in 2004 to include Plaza Park and the Holstein Building on the south side of Whetstone Brook.
The Elkader Downtown Historic District is a nationally recognized historic district located in Elkader, Iowa, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012. The district cover's the city's central business district, mainly along Main Street, but also along the intersecting side streets as well. Main Street slopes from north to south with a steep drop toward the Turkey River on the east side of the district. Most of the buildings are masonry, two-story, Victorian structures. There are some one- and three-story buildings as well. The Elkader Opera House (1903), which is located in the district, is individually listed on the National Register.
The Bristol Downtown Historic District encompasses the historic late 19th-century commercial heart of Bristol, Vermont. At first a rural agricultural market town, it developed in the second half of the 19th century as a small industrial center, producing finished wood products. Its downtown occupies an area of one block on both sides of Main Street, and features a diversity of architectural styles. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Aligned along the south side of Railroad Avenue and adjacent portions of Main Street, the area underwent most of its development between 1900 and 1940, when Essex Junction served as a major regional railroad hub. The First Federal Savings and Loan Association Building is a historic building located in Downtown Davenport, Iowa, United States. It was individually listed on the Davenport Register of Historic Properties and on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016. In 2020 it was included as a contributing property in the Davenport Downtown Commercial Historic District.
Upper Main Street Historic District is a nationally recognized historic district located in Dubuque, Iowa, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005. At the time of its nomination it consisted of 24 resources, which included 18 contributing buildings, and six non-contributing buildings. In 2011 the boundaries of the district were expanded to include four additional buildings on the west side of the 900 block of Main Street. The district is the northern end of the city's most important commercial street. It is situated on a level terrace above the downtown area, located to the east. The buildings located on the east side of Main Street have exposed foundations along the alley because the grade descends in that direction. For the most part the district is made up of commercial buildings, although there is one house, four rowhouses, and a church. All of the buildings are masonry construction, and they are between one and four stories tall. The bell tower of St. Luke's United Methodist Church (1896) is equivalent to an eight-story building. St. Luke's Church and the Interstate Power Company Building are individually listed on the National Register.
The Neligh Mill Bridge is a truss bridge which brings Elm St. over the Elkhorn River in Neligh in Antelope County, Nebraska. It was built in 1910 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992. It has also been known as the Elm Street Bridge and as Elkhorn River Bridge.
The Kester Planing Mill, located at the southwest corner of 4th and O Streets in Neligh, in Antelope County, Nebraska was built in 1911–12. Also known as the Neligh Planing Mill, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.
