Andrew James Garcia (born April 22, 1986) is an American former professional baseball second baseman. Prior to beginning his professional career, he played college baseball at the University of California, Riverside. Garcia has also competed for the United States national baseball team.
Garcia attended Valhalla High School. He went to college at University of California, Riverside, where he played college baseball for the UC Riverside Highlanders baseball team in the Big West Conference of the National Collegiate Athletic Association's (NCAA) Division I. [1] He was Big West Conference All-Star second baseman in 2008.
Garcia was then selected by White Sox in the 21st round (630th overall) of the 2008 Major League Baseball draft. He made his professional debut in 2008 with the Bristol White Sox of the Rookie-level Appalachian League. In 2009, he played for the Kannapolis Intimidators of the Class-A South Atlantic League. He played for the Winston-Salem Dash of the Class-A Advanced Carolina League in 2010, in which he was recognized as having the best season among all White Sox minor league second baseman, despite missing time due to a torn ankle ligament. [2] In 2011, he played for the Birmingham Barons of the Class-AA Southern League and the Charlotte Knights of the Class-AAA International League.
Garcia played for the United States national baseball team in the 2011 Baseball World Cup and the 2011 Pan American Games, [3] [4] winning the silver medal. [5] He elected free agency from the Chicago White Sox organization on November 6, 2015. [6]
Garcia's grandfather, Dave Garcia, is a retired Major League Baseball (MLB) player and manager. [7] His brother, Greg, played in MLB. [8]

He currently works as an analyst for MLB Network. He is the father of fashion designer Jerry Lorenzo, founder of the streetwear label Fear of God.
Frank Menechino is an American former professional baseball infielder and most recently the hitting coach for the Chicago White Sox of Major League Baseball (MLB). He played in MLB for the Oakland Athletics and Toronto Blue Jays from 1999 through 2005.
Gregory Lee Walker is an American former professional baseball first baseman. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1982 to 1990. Brian Nikola Anderson is an American former professional baseball player. He played all or part of five seasons in Major League Baseball with the Chicago White Sox and Boston Red Sox as an outfielder, a position he played professionally until before the 2010 season. He also played for the Kansas City Royals and New York Yankees organizations as a pitcher. He is currently an assistant coach at Northwestern.

Steven Eugene Swisher is an American former professional baseball player and minor league manager. He played in Major League Baseball as a catcher for the Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Cardinals, and San Diego Padres from 1974 to 1982. Christopher Curtis Nyman is an American former professional baseball first baseman. He played during two seasons at the Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Chicago White Sox. He was signed by the White Sox as an amateur free agent in 1977. Nyman, played his first professional season with their Class A Appleton Foxes in 1978, and split his last season with their Triple-A club, the Buffalo Bisons, and the Detroit Tigers' Triple-A club, the Nashville Sounds, in 1986. In 1984 and 1985, Nyman played in Japan for the Nankai Hawks.
