Dude York is an American rock band from Seattle, Washington.

History

Dude York began in 2012, with the release of a 7" titled Escape From Dude York. [1] Two years later, they released their debut full-length album, Dehumanize, on Help Yourself Records. [2] [3] [4]

In 2016, Dude York signed to Hardly Art, and the following year released their second full-length album, Sincerely, with the label. Whereas guitarist Peter Richards was the primary singer on previous releases, this album was the first to offer songwriting and lead vocals from bassist Claire England as well. [5] [6] [7]

In 2017, Dude York released their third full-length album, Halftime for the Holidays, and toured the United States with Alex Lahey. [8]

In 2018, Dude York released their single, "Moon", and toured Europe with Bully. [9] [10]

The Pains of Being Pure at Heart were an American indie pop band from New York City, formed in 2007. The band centered around founding member and principal songwriter Kip Berman. In the band's final iteration, Berman was joined in concert by Christoph Hochheim (guitar), Jen Goma, Jacob Sloan (bass), and Anton Hochheim (drums). Former members and contributors include Peggy Wang, Connor Hanwick, Kurt Feldman and Alex Naidus.

In 2009 and 2010, the band performed at Hotel Carolina, an annual two-day singer-songwriter festival held in South Carolina.

Gabbys World

Gabby's World is the recording project of Gabrielle Smith, an American singer-songwriter and producer from Brooklyn. Smith began making and releasing experimental ambient music in 2007. Since then, the solo project has turned into a four-piece indie pop band made up of Bellows's Oliver Kalb, Told Slant’s Felix Walworth, Sharpless's Jack Greenleaf and Smith. Felix Walworth has since been replaced by Ian Cory of Lamniformes.

Summer Cannibals (band)

Summer Cannibals is a rock band from Portland, Oregon featuring lead singer and guitarist Jessica Boudreaux, drummer Devon Shirley, guitarist Cassi Blum and bassist Ethan Butman. Their debut album, No Makeup, was released on New Moss Records on August 6, 2013. Their follow up sophomore album, Show Us Your Mind, was produced, recorded, and mixed by Larry Crane and released on New Moss Records on March 3, 2015. The album received favorable reviews from critics such as Entertainment Weekly, which stated that the album featured “songs that refine the fuzzy garage-pop of its debut into something sharper, tighter, and much more difficult to shake off.”
