Ribot was a British-bred, Italian-trained Thoroughbred racehorse who won all his 16 races, including the Arc de Triomphe twice. He raced from 5 furlongs (1,000m) to 1m 7f (3,000m) in three countries on all types of track conditions. He is considered by many experts to be one of the best horses ever.

He is notable for having won Group 1/Grade I races in five countries: the Premio Presidente della Repubblica and the Gran Premio di Milano in Italy; the Japan Cup in Japan; the Prix d'Ispahan in France; the Eclipse Stakes, the Juddmonte International Stakes and the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes in the United Kingdom and the Hong Kong Cup in Hong Kong.

As a three-year old in 1996 he won the St. Leger and the Gran Premio del Jockey Club as well as finishing third in the Epsom Derby and fourth in the Breeders' Cup Turf. In the following year he won the Gran Premio di Milano and the Princess of Wales's Stakes. After his retirement from racing he had success as a sire of National Hunt horses.
Ramonti is a retired French-bred Thoroughbred racehorse and active sire. He was originally trained in Italy, where he won eight races at the ages of three and four including the Group One Premio Vittorio di Capua. He was then bought by Godolphin Racing and was trained in Britain and the United Arab Emirates by Saeed Bin Suroor. For his new connections Ramonti won three of Britain's most important mile races in 2007, before winning the ten furlong Hong Kong Cup. At the end of the season he was one of the highest-ranked racehorses in the world over one mile. Ramonti was retired to stud after a single unsuccessful start in 2008. He is currently based in Poland.
Snurge, was an Irish-bred British-trained Thoroughbred racehorse and sire. In a career which lasted from September 1989 until September 1994, he ran thirty-four times and won seven races. He recorded his most important success when winning the Classic St. Leger Stakes as a three-year-old maiden in 1990. In the following seasons he won major races in France, Italy and Canada, before retiring as a seven-year-old. At the time of his retirement he held the record for prize money won by a European-trained horse, although the precise total of his earnings was difficult to determine because of the number of different currencies involved.

Ibn Bey was a British-bred Thoroughbred racehorse and sire who won major races in the United Kingdom, France, Ireland, Italy and Germany as well as competing in the United States and Japan. After winning once as a two-year-old in 1986 he won the Predominate Stakes in 1987 before recording his first Group One success in the Gran Premio d'Italia. He continued to improve with age and developed into a formidable international campaigner over long distances winning the Grand Prix de Deauville, Prix Maurice de Nieuil, Geoffrey Freer Stakes, Preis von Europa, Grosser Preis von Berlin and Irish St. Leger. On his penultimate start he produced arguably his best performance when finishing second in the Breeders' Cup Classic. He was retired from racing to become a breeding stallion in Japan where he had limited impact as a sire of winners. He died in Japan in December 2012.
Orange Bay was a British-bred Thoroughbred racehorse and sire. He was originally trained in Italy, where he was one of the leading colts of his generation in 1974 and 1975, winning the Premio Emanuele Filiberto and the Derby Italiano and being placed in the Gran Criterium, Gran Premio d'Italia and Gran Premio di Milano. He was moved to England in the late summer of his three-year-old season and subsequently emerged as one of the leading middle distance horses in Europe. In 1976 he won the Jockey Club Stakes and Hardwicke Stakes and finished a close third in the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes, In the following year he won the Cumberland Lodge Stakes and produced his best effort when beaten a short head by The Minstrel in the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes. He was retired from racing at the end of 1977 to become a breeding stallion but made no impact as a sire of winners.
Legal Case was an Irish-bred British-trained Thoroughbred racehorse and sire. He did not appear until the summer of his three-year-old season, but then made rapid progress, winning two minor races and the Select Stakes before recording his biggest win in the Champion Stakes in October 1989. He was never as good again, but did win the Premio Roma in 1990. After his retirement from racing he had some success as a breeding stallion in Brazil.
Postponed is an Irish-bred, British-trained Thoroughbred racehorse. He won one minor race as a two-year-old before establishing himself as a useful middle-distance performer in the following year with wins in the Glasgow Stakes and the Great Voltigeur Stakes. In July 2015, he recorded his biggest victory in the King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot Racecourse and followed up with a success in the Prix Foy. After a change of trainer he returned in 2016 to win the Dubai City of Gold, Dubai Sheema Classic, Coronation Cup and International Stakes. He was retired from racing in May 2017 having won 9 of his 20 races and earned nearly £5,000,000 in win and place prize money.

Lando was a German Thoroughbred racehorse and sire. He was twice named German Horse of the Year and set an earnings record for a horse trained in Germany. He was one of the best juveniles in Germany in 1990, winning the Preis des Winterfavoriten and went on to greater success in 1993 when he won the Deutsches Derby and the Grosser Preis von Baden. He continued to improve as a four-year-old, winning the Hansa Preis and a second Grosser Preis von Baden in Germany as well as the Gran Premio del Jockey Club in Italy. He had his best year in 1995 when he won the Gran Premio di Milano and the Preis der Privatbankiers Merck, Finck & Co before ending his career with a victory in the Japan Cup. In all, he won 10 of his 23 races, having competed in five different countries on three continents. After his retirement from racing he became a successful breeding stallion. He died in 2013 at the age of 23.
Dashing Blade was a British Thoroughbred racehorse and sire who won major races in Ireland, England, France and Italy. As a two-year-old in 1989 he was one of the best colts of his generation in Europe winning four of his five races including the biggest races for juveniles in Ireland and England. In the following year he showed modesrate form in England in spring but went on to win the Prix Eugène Adam in France and the Gran Premio d'Italia in Milan.
Strategic Choice was an American-bred, British-trained Thoroughbred racehorse and stallion. In a racing career which lasted from April 1994 until July 2000 he competed in nine different countries – Britain, France, Italy, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Turkey, Canada and Hong Kong – and won six of his thirty-four races. Unraced as a two-year-old he won the John Porter Stakes and Irish St. Leger at four, the Gran Premio di Milano and Grand Prix de Deauville at five and the Bosphorus Trophy at six. He was also placed in the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes, Gran Premio del Jockey Club, Yorkshire Cup and St Simon Stakes. After his retirement from racing he had some success as a sire of National Hunt racing.
Thomas Edward Durcan is a retired, two-time British Classic-winning Irish jockey. He was champion jockey in the United Arab Emirates on seven occasions and rode over 1,000 winners in Great Britain in career lasting from 1992 to 2017.
Sikeston was an American-bred, British-trained Thoroughbred racehorse who had his greatest success in Italy. In five years on the track, he ran 34 times and won 11 races, seven of them at Group 1 level, three at Group 2 and one at Group 3 and was also placed in several major races. He produced most of his best performances on soft or heavy going. He won the Gran Criterium as a two-year-old in 1988 and the Premio Parioli in the following spring. As a four-year-old in 1990 he won the Premio Natale di Roma, Premio Ribot and Premio Vittorio di Capua. In the following season he took the Premio Vittorio di Capua for a second time as well as the Premio Presidente della Repubblica, Queen Anne Stakes and Premio Roma. In his final season on the track he won a second Premio Presidente della Repubblica and the Irish International Stakes.
