Dziani Dzaha, or Lake Dziani, is a crater lake on the island of Petite Terre in the French overseas territory of Mayotte. It is well known for its underwater lava tube caves and their fabled hidden pirate treasure. Whilst diving these caves is forbidden by law there is a growing cottage industry of guides that take intrepid tourists into its murky depths for the chance to score some pirate treasure. [1]

Tom Sawyer Island is an artificial island surrounded by the Rivers of America at Disneyland, Magic Kingdom and Tokyo Disneyland. It contains structures and caves with references to Mark Twain characters from the novel The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, and provides interactive, climbing, and scenic opportunities. At Disneyland in 2007, the attraction was rethemed and expanded as Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer Island, adding references to Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean film series.
Tom and Jerry: Shiver Me Whiskers is a 2006 direct-to-video animated swashbuckler adventure comedy film featuring the cat-and-mouse duo Tom and Jerry. Produced by Warner Bros. Animation and Turner Entertainment Co., directed by Scott Jeralds, and written by Christopher Painter, the film is the fourth direct-to-video Tom and Jerry film. It was released on DVD on August 22, 2006 which was on the same day that Poseidon was released on DVD. The movie served as the pilot for the television series Tom and Jerry Tales, which premiered the following month. It was later re-released on Blu-ray on March 12, 2013.
The Lakes is a 2-square-mile (5.2 km2) planned community located within the city limits of Las Vegas, Nevada. It is located in the western part of the Las Vegas Valley near the Spring Mountains and Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. The centerpiece of the community, and its namesake, is a large man-made lake, Lake Sahara. It was originally planned to have two man-made lakes but was downscoped to one. It was built from the mid-1980s to the mid-1990s, and at the time was at the edge of development in the valley. It consists of a mixture of gated communities consisting of large single-family homes, condominia, commercial areas and offices.

Lon Chaney played two different pirate roles in this production, "Blind Pew" and "Merry", and stills exist showing him in both makeups. Charles Ogle, who had played Frankenstein's Monster in the first filmed version of Frankenstein a decade earlier at Edison Studios, portrayed Long John Silver.

Alouette Lake, originally Lillooet Lake and not to be confused with the lake of that name farther north, is a lake and reservoir in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Canada. It is located at the southeast foot of the mountain group known as the Golden Ears and is about 16 km in length on a northeast–southwest axis. It and the Alouette River, formerly the Lillooet River, were renamed in 1914 to avoid confusion with the larger river and lake farther north, with "Alouette", the French word for "lark", being chosen as being melodious and reminiscent of the original name in tone.
