Eagle Mountain High School is a public high school in Fort Worth, Texas, serving Eagle Mountain-Saginaw Independent School District. The campus opened in August 2024 as part of the district's 2017 bond program.

Contents

History

District planning materials for the 2017 bond program identified Eagle Mountain High School as the district's fourth comprehensive high school, with planning and design work beginning in 2019 and a projected opening of August 2024. [1] A district ceremony described as a groundbreaking was scheduled for April 19, 2022. [2] A topping-out ceremony was held in 2023. [3]

The ribbon cutting for Eagle Mountain High School was scheduled for August 1, 2024. [4] The school's first day of classes were August 12, 2024. [5]

Campus

The campus address is 3451 W. Bonds Ranch Road in Fort Worth. [6] A project description by the general contractor describes the main building as a three-story campus of 611,000 square feet, with a stated capacity of 2,200 students. [7] Other published descriptions of the campus have given a capacity of 2,400 students. [8] [5]

There is a skybridge connecting academic areas with dining, fine arts, and athletic facilities, and describe the integration of on-site natural features including a pond and a dry creek bed. [7] [8] [3] The site's irrigation system state that the pond was filled and used for landscape irrigation, with a stated capacity of 37 million gallons, and that the campus includes a geothermal mechanical system. Athletics

Eagle Mountain High School participates in University Interscholastic League (UIL) athletics and is listed in UIL Class 4A for the 2024–2026 realignment cycle. [9] [10] The school places the school in District 3-4A Division II for football and District 7-4A for basketball and volleyball (2024–2026 cycle). [9]

State championships

Eagle Mountain won the UIL Class 4A Division II state volleyball championship in 2025. [11]
