Eaglepalooza is the name of similar but unrelated events held at the University of Southern Mississippi and Florida Gulf Coast University. The name is a play on the concert festival Lalapalooza.

University of Southern Mississippi

Eaglepalooza at USM is put on by the Southern Miss Student Government Association every year in association with local businesses and other campus organizations. The event has become a staple at Southern Miss and is used to bring together the local community and the students of USM. Eaglepalooza brings nationally known musical acts to the campus such as Dashboard Confessional, Gavin DeGraw, Sister Hazel, Train, Better Than Ezra, Mýa, Pat Green, and most recently American Idol Season 11 Winner Phillip Phillips.

Dashboard Confessional American band

Dashboard Confessional is an American rock band from Boca Raton, Florida, led by singer-songwriter Chris Carrabba. The name of the band is derived from the song "The Sharp Hint of New Tears" off their debut album, The Swiss Army Romance.

Gavin DeGraw American singer

Gavin Shane DeGraw is an American musician, singer and songwriter. He rose to fame with the single "I Don't Want to Be" from his debut album Chariot which became the theme song for the television drama series One Tree Hill. Other singles from the album included notably "Chariot" and "Follow Through". His second self-titled album was released in 2008 and included the top-twenty single "In Love with a Girl". In 2009, DeGraw released his third album Free. His fourth album Sweeter (2011) spawned hit single "Not Over You", as well as "Soldier" and "Sweeter". In 2013, DeGraw released Make a Move, and Something Worth Saving followed in September 2016.

Sister Hazel American band

Sister Hazel is an American alternative rock band from Gainesville, Florida, whose style blends elements of jangle pop, folk rock, classic rock 'n' roll and southern rock. Their music is characterized by highly melodic tunes and prominent harmonies. Most of their songs have optimistic lyrics. The band's instrumentation often features abrupt shifts among electric, acoustic and a cappella, with striking use of tacets. Though often described as alternative, Sister Hazel leans toward an upbeat sound and away from the clashing punk discordance often associated with the alternative rock genre. There have been no changes to the band's main lineup after over 20 years, although guitarist Ryan Newell was only listed as a guest musician on their debut album, and non-original member Dave LaGrande has been touring with them since 2012.

2005

The 2005 performance featured Dashboard Confessional.

2006

The 2006 performance was originally slated to feature Sister Hazel and Chingy. Chingy cancelled the engagement mere months before it was to take place. Mýa was chosen as his replacement.

Chingy American rapper

Howard Bailey Jr., better known by his stage name Chingy, is an American rapper, singer, producer, and actor. Chingy grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and began rapping in his late teens. He toured as an opening act with Nelly in the summer of 2002 and then became a protégé of Ludacris, who signed him to his newly formed Disturbing Tha Peace (DTP) record label. The rapper's 2003 summer debut single, "Right Thurr", put him on the musical map as a good-time rapper who specialized in catchy, club-friendly beats and simplistic lyrics delivered in a sing-song, nursery rhyme style.

Mýa American R&B recording artist

Mýa Marie Harrison is an American singer, songwriter, producer, and actress. Born into a musical family, before entering the music industry she appeared on BET's Teen Summit. Signed in 1996 with Interscope Records, she released her eponymous debut album in April 1998. A critical and commercial success, the album produced her first top ten single "It's All About Me."

2007

The 2007 Eaglepalooza featured R&B artist Eve and Robert Randolph and the Family Band.

Robert Randolph and the Family Band band

Robert Randolph and the Family Band is an American funk and soul band led by pedal steel guitarist Robert Randolph. NPR has described the band as one with an "irresistible rock 'n' roll swagger". Rolling Stone also went on to include Randolph upon their list of the 100 greatest guitarists of all time. The band has been Grammy nominated a total of three times.

In 2008 the festival featured Mutemath and David Barnes, among others.

Mutemath American alternative rock band

Mutemath is an American alternative rock band from New Orleans that formed in 2002. The band currently only consists of lead vocalist and keyboardist Paul Meany, but is subject to add future musicians. They draw heavily from influences in 1960s and 1970s soul, psychedelic rock, and jam band styles, utilizing vintage guitars and amplifiers, as well as Rhodes keyboards, synthesizers, and other electronic instruments such as the keytar.

Dave Barnes American musician

David Mckee Barnes is an American musician, singer, and songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee. He has released eight studio albums, including two Christmas albums. His most recent full-length album, Who Knew It Would Be So Hard To Be Myself, was released February 9, 2018.

2009

The 2009 lineup included Grupo Fantasma, the Foulon Brothers, SMAASH, and Girl Talk.

2010

The 2010 version of the event included We The Kings

2011

The 2011 event featured performances by Melanie Fiona and SMAASH.

2013 (Spring)

The event was moved to the spring semester of the 2012-2013 school year and featured Churchill (band) and Elle Varner with Phillip Phillips.

2013 (Fall)

The 10th Annual event has been moved back to the fall semester and was held on Friday November 15th at 6:00pm. The lineup will featured Needtobreathe with Rosco Bandana, the Adam Doleac Band, Mack Wilds, and DJ Bonics.

2014

The 2014 event was held on October 25, 2014 in Downtown Hattiesburg. The lineup was headlined by Icona Pop, with supporting acts Lowel and Five Knives.

2015

The 2015 event was held on November 21, 2015 in Downtown Hattiesburg. The lineup was headlined by Echosmith, with supporting acts Figure Eight and local Hattiesburg band, The DLX.

Florida Gulf Coast University

Eaglepalooza at FGCU is put on by the Programming Board department and features a musical concert, giveaways, food, and activities such as inflatable games.

2007

In 2007 Eaglepalooza featured musical acts by Young Joc, FGCU student performer S-jayy and the group Blacc Wolf Cartel. The event also included the championship flag football game, a basketball challenge, a rock-climbing wall and food vendors.

2008

Busta Rhymes was the headline performer in 2008.

2009

The 2009 event was on Friday, November 20 and featured live performances by Sean Paul and MIMS and also featured comedians Aries Spears and Roy Wood Jr.

2010

The 2010 event was on Saturday, November 20. Far East Movement and LMFAO are scheduled to perform.

2011

The 2011 event was on Thursday, November 17 and featured performances by Pitbull and Travis Porter.

Hollywood Rock

Hollywood Rock was a music festival which took place in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, from 1988 to 1996, featuring both Brazilian and international acts. The festival was sponsored and organised by the Souza Cruz tobacco company, owners of the Hollywood cigarette brand, taking its name from an unrelated festival that occurred in 1975 with an all-Brazilian lineup. After a law was passed by the Senate of Brazil prohibiting tobacco and alcohol companies from sponsoring cultural and sporting events, the festival was cancelled. The festival did not happen in 1989 or 1991.

WSUM

WSUM is a student radio station in Madison, Wisconsin, affiliated with the University of Wisconsin–Madison. The station schedule consists of a wide range of music and talk programming serving the campus and Madison community.

Soundwave (Australian music festival)

Soundwave was an annual music festival held in major cities around Australia. The festival originated in Perth, Western Australia and began travelling to the other Australian capital cities in 2007. It features a number of international and Australian music acts, from various genres including rock, metal and punk. The festival has been headlined by Deftones, The Offspring, Incubus, Alice in Chains, Bloodhound Gang, Nine Inch Nails, Faith No More, Jimmy Eat World, Jane's Addiction, Soundgarden, Iron Maiden, Queens of the Stone Age, The Smashing Pumpkins, System of a Down, Slipknot, Green Day, Avenged Sevenfold, Linkin Park, Blink-182 and Metallica. The festival was run and promoted by Soundwave Touring, who also run Harvest Festival and promote tours for bands and musicians each year.

Mike Marsh is the drummer for The Avett Brothers and formerly of Dashboard Confessional. Mike was featured on all Dashboard Confessional's albums, from The Places You Have Come To Fear The Most to Alter the Ending. He also played with them for MTV Unplugged. In 2006, Marsh and Dashboard Confessional did an AOL Sessions recording, playing not only their songs, but a cover of "In A Big Country" by Big Country. According to posts by Mike on Facebook, he officially joined The Avett Brothers as their drummer in early 2013. Mike is also an engineer and record producer. He has a recording studio in East Nashville called Papermill Studio.

Seville is a rock group formed in the winter of 2001, by Mike Marsh of the Agency and Dan Bonebrake of The Vacant Andys, joined the now-well-known Dashboard Confessional. They disbanded in 2003, with all members following other projects.

Rock 'n India was an annual music festival organised by event management company DNA Networks in conjunction with Nous Productions at the Palace Grounds in Bangalore. It was launched in 2008 as India's only music festival. Rock 'n India gave Indian bands the opportunity to play in front of large audiences alongside international artists. Throughout its existence, the festival featured iconic rock acts such as Megadeth, Machine Head, Iron Maiden, Biffy Clyro, and Metallica.

Kappa Lambda Psi (ΚΛΨ) is a local sorority founded on Monday, April 28, 1980 at Glassboro State College. The Sorority has five chapters, but one is active.. The Delta Chapter at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY, founded in October 1989.. The sorority was the first Greek Letter Organization on Marist College's campus.

Kendal Calling

Kendal Calling is a music & arts festival, held annually at Lowther Deer Park in the Lake District, Cumbria in the North West of England. It has grown from a two-day, 900 capacity event in 2006 to a 25,000 capacity 4-day music festival. In 2018, The festival will be headlined by Catfish and the Bottlemen, The Libertines, Run DMC, Hacienda Classical, James, Plan B and more. Kendal Calling has 9 stages and has featured live performances from notable artists such as Blondie, Pendulum, Doves, Dizzee Rascal, James, Mumford & Sons, Calvin Harris and British Sea Power. In 2010 Kendal Calling was awarded the Best Small UK Festival Award at the UK Festival Awards, as voted by the public. Kendal Calling also won the industry award 'Best Small Festival' at the LIVE UK awards 2011.

T in the Park 2009 was the sixteenth T in the Park festival to take place since 1994. It took place on the weekend of Friday 10 July, Saturday 11 July and Sunday 12 July at Balado, in Perth and Kinross, Scotland. Kings of Leon, Snow Patrol, Blur and The Killers headlined, meaning that the 2009 was the first time the festival had seen four headliners.

Saarang is the annual social and cultural festival of IIT Madras.
