Ed Belfour Top Goaltender Trophy

The Ed Belfour Top Goaltender Trophy is presented annually to the Manitoba Junior Hockey League's goaltender judged to be the best at his position during the regular season. The trophy was formerly called the MJHL Top Goaltender Award and was renamed in 2018 after former MJHL goaltender and Hockey Hall of Fame inductee Ed Belfour. [1]

The Calder Memorial Trophy is an annual award given "to the player selected as the most proficient in his first year of competition in the National Hockey League (NHL)." It is named after Frank Calder, the first president of the NHL. Ronald James Chipperfield is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player who served as the Edmonton Oilers' first National Hockey League (NHL) captain. He played for the Oilers in both the World Hockey Association (WHA) and the NHL, as well as the Vancouver Blazers and the Calgary Cowboys of the WHA, and the Quebec Nordiques of the NHL. Chipperfield was born in Brandon, Manitoba.

Ernest Alfred Linton Wakely is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender. Wakely was a goaltender in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Montreal Canadiens and St. Louis Blues. Wakely also played for the Quebec Aces, the Cleveland Barons (AHL), Winnipeg Jets, the San Diego Mariners, the Cincinnati Stingers, the Houston Aeros, the Houston Apollos, and the Birmingham Bulls of the World Hockey Association. Wakely was goaltender for the 1958–59 Memorial Cup winning Winnipeg Braves of the MJHL.

The Frank McKinnon Memorial Trophy is an annual award given by the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) to the player adjudged to have exhibited the best type of sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct combined with a high standard of playing ability during the regular season. The trophy is named after the late former MJHL commissioner and Hockey Canada executive.

The Mike Ridley Trophy is awarded to the player who leads the Manitoba Junior Hockey League in points scoring during the regular season. The trophy is named after former National Hockey League star Mike Ridley, who holds the MJHL single season scoring records for points (191) and goals (91), which were set with the St. Boniface Saints during the 1982–83 season.

Frank Lorne McKinnon, CM was a Canadian amateur sports administrator, executive, and coach. McKinnon was named a Member of the Order of Canada in June 2014 in recognition of his extensive volunteer work and contributions to amateur sport in Canada.
