McJannet joined the youth academy of English side Luton at the age of nine. [2]

On 31 January 2023, McJannet joined the Under-19 squad of the Italian club Lecce. [3] For the 2024–25 Serie A season, he was promoted to the senior squad. [4]

McJannet has captained the Republic of Ireland national under-19 football team. [5]
