The EduSport Trophy is an annual international figure skating competition which is generally held in January in Romania. [1] Medals may be awarded in men's singles and women's singles at various levels, which may include senior, junior, and novice, as well as recreational and adult skaters. [2] [3] [4]

The Lombardia Trophy is an annual international figure skating competition which is generally held in September in Bergamo, Italy. In most years, the event is part of the ISU Challenger Series. Medals may be awarded in men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance.

The 2016–17 figure skating season began on July 1, 2016, and ended on June 30, 2017. During this season, elite skaters competed at the 2017 European Championships, Four Continents Championships, World Junior Championships, and World Championships. They also competed at elite events such as the Grand Prix series and Junior Grand Prix series, culminating at the Grand Prix Final, and the Challenger Series.

Park Sung-hoon, known mononymously as Sunghoon, is a South Korean singer and former figure skater. He competed as a figure skater from 2010 to early 2020; while simultaneously being a K-pop trainee since 2018. He retired from the sport and debuted as a member of the South Korean boy band Enhypen in November 2020. Sunghoon is the 2016, 2017 junior silver medalist and the 2015 novice gold medalist of Asian Figure Skating Trophy, and the 2015 novice gold medalist of Lombardia Trophy. He also won silver medals at the 2013 novice competition and the 2014 junior competition of South Korean Figure Skating Championships.

Rebecca Ghilardi is an Italian pair skater. With her skating partner, Filippo Ambrosini, she a two-time European Championship medalist, the 2022 Grand Prix of Espoo champion, a six-time ISU Challenger Series medalist, the 2024 Italian national champion, and a five-time Italian national silver medalist (2019-2023). The pair represented Italy at the 2022 Winter Olympics.

Julia Franziska Sauter is a German-Romanian figure skater. Representing Romania, she has won twelve senior international medals as well as five Romanian national titles. She has reached the final segment at one World and two European Championships, with a top-ten result at the 2023 Europeans.

Kim Min-chae is a South Korean figure skater. She is the 2022 CS Denis Ten Memorial Challenge champion and 2024 CS Nebelhorn Trophy bronze medalist
