Eduard Abazaj [1] (born 29 November 1963) is an Albanian-Portuguese [2] [3] retired international footballer who played as a left-back. [4] His sons Richard Abazaj [5] (born 2003) and Romeu Abazaj [6] are also Luso-Albanian footballers.
Abazaj was born in Tirana in 1963. He made his league debut for Dinamo Tirana in 1985. He was one of the first players to move abroad after Albania's borders opened up in 1990 and he played for clubs such as Hajduk Split, S.L. Benfica, Boavista FC and Manchester City. [7]
