Charleston Hughes is a professional Canadian football defensive end for the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He had most recently played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League. He was signed by the Calgary Stampeders as a street free agent in 2008 and won two Grey Cup championships over his ten-year tenure with the club. He is a five-time CFL All-Star and seven-time division All-Star. He was also named the West Division's Most Outstanding Defensive Player in 2013. He played college football for Northwood. Hughes has also been a member of the Philadelphia Eagles (NFL) and briefly the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
Scott Moe is a Canadian politician serving as the 15th and current premier of Saskatchewan since February 2, 2018. He is a member of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan for the riding of Rosthern-Shellbrook, first elected in 2011. He served in the Saskatchewan Party cabinet from 2014–2017 under the premiership of Brad Wall, twice as Minister of Environment and also as Minister of Advanced Education. In January 2018 he was chosen to succeed Wall as leader of the Saskatchewan Party.

The Liberal Party led by William John Patterson formed the government. The Co-operative Commonwealth Federation (CCF) led by George Hara Williams formed the official opposition. After Williams resigned his seat to serve in the army in 1941, John Hewgill Brockelbank became house leader for the CCF.

John Gary Lane,, commonly known as Gary Lane, is a judge and former political figure in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. He represented Lumsden from 1971 to 1975 and Qu'Appelle from 1975 to 1976 as a Liberal and then Qu'Appelle from 1976 to 1982 and Qu'Appelle-Lumsden from 1982 to 1991 as a Progressive Conservative in the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan.
