The Egypt Basketball Super Cup is a basketball trophy in Egypt. The winner is decided after one game between the champions of a previous season's Egyptian Basketball Super League champion and Egypt Cup winners. The competition was established in 2002.

History

In 2021, Zamalek played with its Under-21 team as the team dealt with injuries and could not sign new players due to Egyptian Federation regulations. [1]

On December 24, 2022, in the edition of the Super Cup, a stand in the Hassan Moustafa Sports Hall partly collapsed, injuring 27 people. [2] The game was suspended and re-scheduled for January 12, 2023, however Al Ahly conceded the game. [3] [4]

The 2023 Supercup was played in Bahrain, which was the first time the competition was held outside of Egypt. [5]

The Egyptian Basketball Premier League is the top professional basketball division of the Egyptian basketball league system. Administered by the Egyptian Basketball Federation (EBBFED), it is contested by 16 teams, with the two lowest-placed teams relegated to the Egyptian Basketball Premier League B and replaced by the top two teams in that division.

2020–21 Zamalek SC was a season of the Zamalek club. The club competes for local championships such as the League, Cup and Continental in the Basketball Africa League because it is the champion of the 2019 League.

The 2021 Arab Club Basketball Championship was the 33rd season of the Arab Club Basketball Championship. The tournament started on 29 September 2021 and ended on 9 October 2021. The entire tournament was held in Alexandria, Egypt, as all games were played in the Hall Al Ettehad Al Sakandary Club or in the Borj Al Arab Hall.

The 2021–22 Egyptian Basketball Premier League was the 47th season of the Egyptian Basketball Premier League, the highest-level basketball league in Egypt. The defending champions were Zamalek; they were eliminated in the semifinals by Al Ittihad Alexandria.

The 2022–23 Al Ittihad Alexandria Club season was the club's 109th season in existence and the 52nd consecutive season in the top flight of Egyptian football. In addition to the domestic league, Al Ittihad participated in this season's editions of the Egypt Cup and the EFA Cup.

The 2022–23 Egyptian Basketball Premier League was the 48th season of the Premier League, the top level of professional basketball in Egypt. The preliminary round began on 16 December 2022, with six-teen teams making up the league. The season ended on 15 May 2023 with the final game of the finals.
