The African Volleyball Confederation is the continental governing body for the sports of volleyball in Africa. Its headquarters are located in Rabat, Morocco.
The Netherlands women's national volleyball team is the national volleyball team of the Netherlands. It is governed by the Nederlandse Volleybalbond (NeVoBo). Following the 1995 European Championship they hosted in Arnhem and finishing fifth at the 1996 Olympics, the Dutch have had moments of success amidst instability, such as the title of the 2007 FIVB World Grand Prix, and a return to the Olympic Games in 2016, where the Netherlands got to fourth place.

Fabiana Marcelino Claudino is a Brazilian volleyball player who made her debut for the Brazilian national team against Croatia. She captained Brazil to the gold medal at the 2012 Olympics.

Egypt competed in the 2008 Summer Olympics held in Beijing, People's Republic of China, from 8 to 24 August 2008. Egyptian competitors won two bronze medals at the Beijing Olympics.
The Finland men's national volleyball team is the national volleyball team of Finland. It is governed by the Finland Volleyball Association and takes part in international volleyball competitions. The team's best results to date are fourth place at the European Championships 2007 and ninth place at the 2014 World Championships. After a one-off appearance in 1993, Finland rejoined the FIVB World League in 2006 and has been part of the competition ever since, making this year’s entry their 12th consecutive. Their best finish to date has been seventh place in 2007.
The China men's national volleyball team represents China in international volleyball competitions and friendly matches, governed by Chinese Volleyball Association. The team now ranks 26th in the FIVB World Rankings and the current head coach is Vital Heynen.
Hossam Youssif Muhammad Abdalla is an Egyptian male volleyball player. He was part of the Egypt men's national volleyball team at the 2014 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship in Poland. He played for Al Ahly.
Abdalla Ahmed Bekhit is an Egyptian indoor volleyball player. He was included as part of the Egypt national team at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Ahmed was named to the all-tournament team at the FIVB World Grand Champions Cup. He is a setter. He was part of the Egypt men's national volleyball team at the 2010 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship in Italy. He played for Al Ahly SC.

The 2024 FIVB Volleyball Girls' U17 World Championship was the inaugural edition of the FIVB Volleyball Girls' U17 World Championship, the biennial international youth volleyball championship contested by the women's national teams under the age of 17 of the members associations of the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The tournament took place in Lima, Peru from 17 to 24 August 2024.
The FIVB Volleyball Boys' U17 World Championship is the world championship of volleyball for male players under the age of 17 organized by Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB).
