The Egypt women's national artistic gymnastics team represents Egypt in FIG international competitions.

History

Egypt has never fielded a team at the Olympic Games. Sherine El-Zeiny became the first female Egyptian artistic gymnast to compete at the Olympic Games, doing so in 2008. [1] Since then Egypt has had at least one female gymnast compete at each Olympic Games.

Egypt competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, from 27 July to 12 August 2012, sending one of its largest delegations ever. A total of 110 Egyptian athletes participated in 83 events across 20 sports, with more women taking part than ever before. The nation's flagbearer in the opening ceremonies was Hesham Mesbah, a judoka who was Egypt's only medalist at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Egypt won two medals during the course of the Games: Alaaeldin Abouelkassem earned silver in the men's foil, becoming the first competitor from an African nation to win a fencing medal, while Karam Gaber captured silver in the men's 84 kg Greco-Roman wrestling event. Two Egyptian weightlifters were awarded medals retroactively, after higher-ranked competitors were disqualified for doping: Abeer Abdelrahman took silver in the women's 75 kg event, while Tarek Yehia, received bronze in the men's 85 kg event. Among other achievements, Mostafa Mansour was the nation's first competitor in sprint canoeing while fencer Shaimaa El-Gammal became the first Egyptian female to appear in four editions of the Olympics.

Salma Mahmoud El Said Mohamed is an Egyptian female artistic gymnast and part of the national team.

Sherine Ahmed El Zeiny is a Dutch-Egyptian artistic gymnast. Born in the Netherlands, El Zeiny trained all of her gymnastics career in the Netherlands, but she competed for her mother's homeland Egypt in numerous international tournaments since 2007, including three editions of the Summer Olympics.

Nancy Mohamed Ali Taman is an Egyptian artistic gymnast. Taman earned two gold medals in the 2018 Mediterranean Games and the 2019 African Games and won a silver medal in the 2015 African Games.

Naveen Natascha Daries is a South African artistic gymnast who represented her country at the 2017, 2018 and 2019 World Championships, as well as the 2018 Commonwealth Games. She took the bronze medal in the all-around at the 2021 African Championships, earning a continental berth to the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.

Mandy Mohamed is a Dutch-Egyptian artistic gymnast currently representing Egypt in international competitions. She represented Egypt at the 2020 Olympic Games. She was a member of the team who won gold at the 2019 African Games and the 2016 African Championships.

The 2021 African Artistic Gymnastics Championships took place on May 26–27 in Cairo, Egypt. It served as an Olympic qualification event for four individual Olympic berths.

Road to Eilat is a 1994 Egyptian war film directed by Inaam Mohammed Ali and features Salah Zulfikar in a special appearance as Admiral Fouad Abu Zikry, the commander of Egyptian Navy. The film stars Ezzat El Alaili and Nabil Al-Halfawi. The film is Salah Zulfikar’s final film role.
