Edward E. Bello Pou, better known by his stage name El Cata, [1] is a Dominican singer and songwriter, who emerged in the music scene in 1999, [2] born and raised in Barahona, Dominican Republic.
Bello is the second son of Maria Luisa Pou Betances. He has four sisters. Aged five, he emigrated from the Dominican Republic to Puerto Rico and a year later from PR to Miami, Florida where he lived until he graduated from Miami Beach Senior High School. While at school, Bello spent most of his time in class writing and composing songs. He would walk down the hallways singing the songs that he would write during class.
After high school, Bello moved with his family to New York, where he studied music at the Bronx Community College. While in New York he also worked at a furniture store, as well at the Medicare department for the state, and for HSBC and City bank. [3]
After living in the United States for over 20 years, he returned to the Dominican Republic to make music for the world.
In 1999 he released his first album as an independent artist and label, but these records are not considered officials because they are no longer available. In 2009 he released his official debut studio album El Malo, through Allegro/Planet Records, which includes the singles, "Loca Con Su Tiguere", "Pa' la Esquinita" and "El Que Brilla Brilla" Rabiosa, among others. [4] At the same year he also recorded a remix of "Loca Con Su Tiguere", featuring Voltio and Ñejo & Dalmata, also the remix of "Ella Quiere Coro Conmigo" featuring Yenz, and shared credits on Pitbull's smash single "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)" as co-writer of the song. [5] As of 2010, he collaborated in the remix of "Watagatapitusberry" from Pitbull's album Armando . [6] The song also featured Rapper record-producer Lil Jon, Sensato and Black Point. Also collaborated with Gloria Estefan, Yuri-Mexico, Wyclef J; Kat de Luna, Vakero, Ñejo y Dalmata, Julio Voltio, Secreto EFB; Gente De Zona, Drake, Elvis Crespo, Osmani Garcia, Chacal, Juan Magan, Dylan & Lenny, among others.. (SoundCloud and YouTube for ElCata) This young talent has brought out to market his own line of watches name brand "El Cata" and not only that he also appears as an actor in some movies filmed in the Dominican Republic.
In 2010, Colombian singer-songwriter Shakira covered his single as "Loca", in which he also raps. [7] He is also featured on the Spanish version of the track "Rabiosa" from Shakira's album Sale el Sol . [8]
El Cata is a pioneer of the genre electro-mambow a fusion of merengue with hip-hop. His repertoire has more than one hundred and thirty (130) songs, where about ten (10) of these are hits that have obtained nominations in the international awards for the industry.

Julio Voltio is a Puerto Rican (former) singer and rapper. An early pioneer of reggaetón—a modern genre of Latin music originating primarily in Panamá and Puerto Rico, with sonic roots in Jamaican dancehall and American hip hop—Voltio officially retired from the music industry in 2014, having converted to Christianity.
Tony Feliciano Rivera, better known by stage name Tony Dize, is an American singer of Puerto Rican descent. His first recorded performance was from the album Blin Blin, Vol. 1, with Wisin & Yandel in 2003, after which he collaborated with other artists of the genre and later released his debut album in 2008 titled La Melodía de la Calle under WY Records and Machete Music. He was signed to Pina Records, for which he released La Melodía de la Calle: Updated in 2009.
Ñejo & Dálmata, also known as Ñejo y Dálmata, are a reggaeton duo from Ponce, Puerto Rico. Ñejo was born June 20, 1975 & Dálmata was born February 27, 1979. They had worked together in collaborations with other reggaeton artists before they released their duo album Broke & Famous in 2007 which peaked at 8 on the 'Billboard Latin Rhythms Albums Chart" and at 9 on the "Top Heatseekers Chart", as well as a number of their singles also charting on Billboard.
"El Mellao" is the first single by Puerto Rican reggaeton performer Voltio, released in September 2007 by Sony BMG. The female voice has not been revealed on the album printing. The remix features reggaeton artists Ñejo & Dalmata.

Sale el Sol is the ninth studio album by Colombian singer and songwriter Shakira, released on 19 October 2010, by Epic Records. The album marks a return to Shakira's signature Latin pop sound after the electropop record She Wolf (2009). The singer split the album into three musical "directions": a romantic side, a "rock and roll" side, and a "Latino, tropical" side. The Spanish-language version features Dominican rapper El Cata, and was released on 10 September 2010, while the English-language version features British rapper Dizzee Rascal, and was released on 13 September 2010. It was written and produced by Shakira, with additional songwriting from Edward Bello, Armando Pérez, and Dylan Mills. The song is a Latin pop and merengue track that lyrically describes Shakira's eccentric infatuation with a man. In August 2014, a senior US district judge found "Loca" to have been indirectly plagiarised from "Loca con su Tiguere", a mid-1990s song composed by Dominican songwriter Ramon "Arias" Vasquez. The case was dismissed in August 2015 after it was found that Vasquez had fabricated the evidence he had presented in court.
