Electro Quarterstaff is an instrumental metal band hailing from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. They play a form of progressive/technical heavy metal and employ three lead guitarists. Initially consisting of just three guitarists and a drummer, [2] they added a bassist to their line-up in winter 2006 and played their first show with him in autumn 2007. The band is named for a weapon in the Canadian cartoon Rocket Robin Hood . [3]

The band self-released the Swayze EP in 2004. They later signed with Willowtip Records for their debut full-length album in 2006, Gretzky , [4] which included rerecorded and reworked versions of their earlier tracks. Also in 2006 they toured the United States and Canada for the first time, [5] which included a performance at the Maryland Deathfest. [6]

Sean McGrath is a musician and artist who lives in San Francisco, California. He is the founding member, guitarist, and vocalist of the death metal band, Impaled, the vocalist of Engorged, and the guitarist and vocalist of Ghoul. He has also created artwork for a number of heavy metal and punk bands, most notably Municipal Waste and The Black Dahlia Murder.

Ion Dissonance is a Canadian mathcore band from Montreal, Quebec. They are known for their technical style, which switched to a more groove based style with the release of their 2007 album Minus the Herd.

Circle of Dead Children is a deathgrind group which formed on October 24, 1998, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After the release of a self-titled demo that was put out the same year they formed, Circle of Dead Children signed on with Willowtip Records to release their debut full-length album, Starving the Vultures, which comprised the demo tracks as well as several new ones.

It is named after hockey legend Wayne Gretzky and follows the trend of the band naming their releases as the last name of a male celebrity – a trend that had begun on their first EP, Swayze ; it continued with the release of their second LP, Aykroyd.

Ulcerate New Zealand-based extreme metal band

Ulcerate is a New Zealand-based extreme metal band formed by guitarist Michael Hoggard and drummer Jamie Saint Merat in 2000. The band have released six studio albums to date. The band's sixth album Stare Into Death and Be Still was released on 24 April 2020 on Debemur Morti Productions. The band have been featured in numerous articles as one of New Zealand's most prominent extreme metal acts, have toured widely across North America and Europe, and have been compared favourably to bands such as Neurosis and Gorguts.
