Eliana Printes is a Brazilian singer and composer, born in Manaus in the state of Amazonas (Brazil), where she began her career, when she was only about 12 years old. Her deep feminine voice has always called the attention of family and friends. Eliana lives nowadays in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
With her debut album Eliana Printes (1994), Eliana received a nomination to the Sharp Awards (nowadays Tim Awards) in Brazil, in the category MPB Revelação (MPB Hit). [1]
6 CDs, 2 song selections and many compilations released in Brazil and abroad are part of the singer's career, among them the CD "Divas Cantam Jobim", released in 2007 by Som Livre in Portugal. Also in 2007, Eliana Printes participated in Nokia Music Recommenders movie directed by Wim Wenders. In 2011 the artist participated in presentations in Germany (with the Symphony Orchestra Collegium Musicum in Potsdam) and in Austria (St. Gilgen).

Eliana Printes was born in a family of little possessions, her mother was a housewife and her father was a carpenter. He played the pandeiro and really enjoyed music. Mr. Printes worked for the Teatro Amazonas, a huge theater and opera/orchestra hall in Manaus, in the state of Amazonas in Brazil. When she was about 7, her father took her by the hand to see his workplace. She was impressed by this first experience. At about the age of 12, she started to play the guitar and from then on she knew what was her calling. [2] Eliana grew up listening to the radio, which was on all day long at her home and also her fathers LPs. Some years after that, in 1994, she traveled to Rio de Janeiro and recorded her first CD with the title "Eliana Printes". In 1996, Indie Records hired her and from then on she recorded her other 5 CDs, presently distributed by them. Marisa de Azevedo Monte is a Brazilian singer, composer, instrumentalist, and producer of Brazilian popular music and samba. As of 2011, she had sold 10 million albums worldwide and has won numerous national and international awards, including four Latin Grammys, seven Brazilian MTV Video Music Awards, nine Multishow de Música Brasileira awards, 5 APCAs, and six Prêmio TIM de Música. Marisa is considered by Rolling Stone Brasil to be the second greatest singer, behind only Elis Regina. She also has two albums on the list of the 100 best albums of Brazilian music.
Cássia Rejane Eller was a Brazilian singer and musician. She came to prominence in the early 1990s and performed a mix of rock and MPB. Eller released five studio albums in her lifetime: Cássia Eller (1990), O Marginal (1992), Cássia Eller (1994), Veneno AntiMonotonia (1997) and Com Você... Meu Mundo Ficaria Completo (1999). Her sixth studio album, Dez de Dezembro (2002) was released posthumously. Eller's most successful album was Acústico MTV – Cássia Eller (2001), selling over 1 million copies. She was ranked as the 18th greatest vocalist and 40th greatest Brazilian musician by Rolling Stone Brasil. On December 29, 2001, Eller died of a heart attack caused by a malformation of her heart at the age of 39.
Júlio Medaglia is a Brazilian composer, arranger, and conductor. Born in São Paulo, he studied theory and conducting with Hans-Joachim Koellreutter. He continued his studies at the Musikhochschule in Freiburg, Germany, and privately with Pierre Boulez, Karlheinz Stockhausen, and Sir John Barbirolli, with whom he worked as assistant conductor.
Marlos Nobre is a Brazilian composer. He has received commissions from numerous institutions, including the Ministry of Culture in Spain, the Free University of Music of São Paulo, the Neuchâtel Chamber Orchestra in Switzerland, The Apollon Foundation in Bremen, Germany and the Maracaibo Music Festival in Venezuela.
