In 2011, Angelov had won a bronze medal for his division at the World Wrestling Championships in Istanbul, Turkey, and silver at the European Wrestling Championships in Dortmund, Germany. Angelov is also a member of Lovech Wrestling Club, and is coached and trained by Bratan Tzenov.
Coleman Scott is a former American wrestler for Sunkist Kids who won the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials and a special Championship Series at 60 kg freestyle to qualify to compete at the 2012 Olympics. He won the bronze medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the men's freestyle 60 kg category. Scott was born in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania.
Catherine Jacques is a Belgian judoka who competed in the middleweight category (70 kg). She is a multiple-time national champion, and a four-time bronze medalist for her category at the European Judo Championships. At the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Jacques missed out of the Olympic podium in the women's 70 kg category, after she was defeated by Germany's Annett Böhm, who scored an ippon within thirty-eight seconds, in the bronze medal match. She was able to fight back against her opponent for a rematch to capture the bronze medal, this time at the 2005 World Judo Championships in Cairo, Egypt.
Maksym Korotun is a Ukrainian judoka, who competed for the extra-lightweight category at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. He won a silver medal at the 2007 Summer Universiade in Bangkok, Thailand, losing out to South Korea's Cho Nam-Suk in the final match.

Aripov also achieved his early international success by defeating Armenia's Karen Mnatsakanyan for a gold medal in the 58 kg class at the 2001 World Wrestling Championships in Patras, Greece.

Mark Spooner is a New Zealand weightlifter. Spooner represented New Zealand at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where he competed for the men's lightweight category (69 kg). Spooner placed 21st in this event, as he successfully lifted 123 kg in the single-motion snatch, and hoisted 158 kg in the two-part, shoulder-to-overhead clean and jerk, for a total of 281 kg.
