Elite Football Women (EFD, Swedish : Elitfotboll Dam), is a Swedish interest organisation that represents the 28 elite football clubs in the top two divisions (OBOS Damallsvenskan and Elitettan) of the Swedish women's football league system. It was founded in Stockholm on 28 October 1978. [1]
EFD does not administer the divisions, but instead acts in cooperation with the Swedish Football Association, the member clubs, sponsors and partners. The goal is to develop Swedish women's elite football resultwise, economically, commercially and administratively. [2]
EFD holds all commercial and medial rights for licensing. [3] Since 2015 EFD have arranged recordings and broadcasts of all Damallsvenskan matches, [3] [4] [5] which can be viewed worldwide at Damallsvenskan.tv Archived 2017-03-05 at the Wayback Machine for a fee.

The Damallsvenskan, known as OBOS Damallsvenskan for sponsorship reasons, is the highest division of women's football in Sweden. It is one of the best women's leagues in the world, and was founded in 1988.

Bollklubben Häcken Fotbollsförening is a women's football club based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Rut Hedvig Lindahl is a retired Swedish professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. She played club football in Sweden for Damallsvenskan clubs including Malmö FF, Linköpings FC, Kristianstads DFF, Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC, Djurgården, and Eskilstuna United, as well as Chelsea in the English FA WSL. At international, Lindahl has accrued 189 caps for Sweden. On 3 August 2014, Lindahl played her 100th cap for Sweden against England. On 17 September 2015, Lindahl played her 113th cap and thereby broke Elisabeth Leidinge's record to become the most capped Swedish female goalkeeper.
Kerstin Ingrid Therese Sjögran is a Swedish football manager and coach, and former player as a midfielder for Damallsvenskan club FC Rosengård and the Sweden national team. A modern pioneer and source of inspiration in women's football, she is considered one of the greatest Swedish footballers of all time and imagined by some as a possible future head coach for the national team. Nicknamed "Terre", Sjögran made her first Damallsvenskan appearances for Kristianstad/Wä DFF. She joined Malmö FF Dam in 2001 and remained with the club through its different guises as LdB FC and FC Rosengård. Sjögran spent the 2011 season with American Women's Professional Soccer (WPS) club Sky Blue FC.

The 2019 Damallsvenskan was the 32nd season of the Swedish women's association football top division, Damallsvenskan. It began on 13 April 2019, and ended on 26 October. Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC are the defending champions, having won the competition in 2018.
The 2020 Damallsvenskan was the 33rd season of the Swedish women's association football top division, Damallsvenskan. The league was originally set to commence on 3 April 2020, but due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic it was postponed, and eventually set to begin on 27 June, and end on 15 November. All matches were played without spectators.
FC Rosengård, formerly Malmö FF Dam (1970–2007) and LdB FC Malmö (2007–2013), is a professional football club based in Malmö, Scania, Sweden. The team was established as Malmö FF Dam in 1970. It started out with playing 7 seasons in the Division 1, but has played in Damallsvenskan in since it formed in 1988. The team has won the league a record thirteen times, the latest in 2022. As of the end of the 2015 season, the club ranks first in the overall Damallsvenskan table. FC Rosengård play their home games at Malmö IP in Malmö. The club it merged with, FC Rosengård 1917, has both men's and women's teams.
