Elm Street Elementary School was one of the first schools to be built in a planned community. It is one of eight elementary schools in the Rome City School District in Georgia, United States. The naming convention for most of the streets in the community, and thus for the school, related to various types of trees. [2] It is a public school that serves students in Pre-kindergarten through sixth grade.
Elm Street Elementary School was built in 1922 and is in use today. Lisa Strack is the principal. [3]
McDonald's Corporation selected Elm Street Elementary as a site for one of its national recycling commercials because the school, after renovation, is old on the outside and new on the inside. [4]
Elm Street Elementary School has earned first place recognition in Georgia for its Response to Intervention program, a tactic employed by schools to help students struggling in a particular area of study.
Elm Street Elementary School made Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) in 2009. It also won the Picturing America Award in 2009. [5]

Rockmart is a town in Polk County, Georgia, United States. Its population was 4,732 at the 2020 census. It developed as a railroad depot town when the Southern Railway built a station in the area. The community was incorporated in 1872, and was named from abundant deposits of slate in the area. The Rockmart Downtown Historic District is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Northern Essex Community College (NECC) is a public community college in Essex County, Massachusetts. The college serves residents of the Merrimack Valley and Southern New Hampshire. It has campuses in Haverhill and Lawrence. The college is part of the Massachusetts Higher Education system. More than 6,600 students are enrolled in 70 credit associate degree and certificate programs and another 3,400 take noncredit workforce development and community education classes on campus, and at businesses and community sites across the Merrimack Valley. Edgar Gregory-Abraham Lincoln Education Center (GLEC) is a K-8 school located at 1101 Taft in the Fourth Ward area of Houston, Texas, United States. Gregory-Lincoln is a part of the Houston Independent School District (HISD) and has a fine arts magnet program that takes students in both the elementary and middle school levels. Originally built in 1966 as Lincoln Junior and Senior High School, it later operated as Lincoln Junior High School until Gregory Elementary School merged into it in 1980, forming Gregory-Lincoln. The school moved into its current building in 2008; the rebuilding was delayed due to concerns that U.S. Civil War-era graveyards would be disturbed by the rebuilding process.
